There’s plenty of competition to buy into the bloodlines of leading Everest and Golden Eagle contender Arcadia Queen.
Arcadia Angel, the three-quarter sister to Arcadia Queen, was the top lot as of 11:30am on Wednesday, holding a bid of $75,000 for the latest Inglis Digital auction that closes at staggered times from 3pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Arcadia Angel is an unraced three-year-old filly that has sustained a stifle injury.
The sale notes on her online catalogue profile state that Arcadia Angel has been booked to multiple Group 1-winning sprinter Trapeze Artist ahead of his first season at stud.
Arcadia Queen is a $9 chance to win the $14 million Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 19 and is $4.60 favourite with BetEasy to win the $7.5m Golden Eagle (1500m) at Rosehill on November 2.
Other notable lots in the auction include city-winning mare Nariko ($55,000), G2 Todman Stakes third placegetter Tchaikovsky ($50,000), Group 3-winning stallion prospect Dracarys ($40,000) and veteran miler Torgersen ($27,500).
