Two runners for Playing God in Kingston Town

Mungrup Stud’s exciting young stallion Playing God will be represented by two runners in the $1 million Group 1 Kingston Town Stakes on Saturday.

Both trained by Neville Parnham, who also trained Playing God to win Kingston Town twice.

Playing God’s son Platoon was enormous in the Group 1 Railway Stakes, coming from ninth on the turn to run third beaten less than a length. He is the winner of the Listed J.C. Roberts Stakes this campaign as well as being placed second in the Group 3 R.J Peters Stakes. He has stepped up to another level as his trainer predicted he would this time in. He is primed to run a big race.

Playing God’s other runner is the 3YO filly Kay Cee, who goes into the race following her brave run to finish second in the G2 WA Guineas at her last start. She was very unlucky, and many would say she should have won the race. Already a stakes winner, having won the Listed Burgess Queen, and a third place in the Group 3 Champion Fillies, she has proven she is above average racehorse capable of being very competitive.

Good luck to connections of both horses, it would be a fairy tale result for one of them to win and follow in their sire’s footsteps and it would be fitting that Neville Parnham be the winning trainer.
