Race 1 – 1:05PM ALCOA-THE ELEMENT OF POSSIBILITY MAIDEN (1600 METRES)
Like SATURDAY SUN as a horse and expecting him to break through. Good in a strong form race first up and inexpereince cost him victory last start, when racing greenly and unable to get over the top of Tradensia late. Stable has lodge some key gear changes up to the mile and he stands out as the one to beat. ARAGAIN has her share of ability though and could stretch the on-top pick. Suited back in grade after the Champion Fillies Stakes and gets the right run from gate one. First starter LONSDALE LADY has impressed at trials, while anticipating improvement from FAIRER AMERICA this trip.
Suggested: 1. SATURDAY SUN win.

Race 2 – 1:40PM ALCOA VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY MAIDEN (1600 METRES)
Will this be the day for TOO FAT TOO SLOW? Have been keen on him a few times over the journey and he’s been unable to get the job done, however, this does look his best opportunity yet, especially considering he’ll relish the rise to 1600m at his third run in. Will roll forward and should control the race from on top of the speed. Didn’t mind the first-up Albany effort from THE ROAN RANGER and he may surprise a few at a price. BIZZI TOO has been good at both outings so far and has to be considered, while BRIARIC was gassed out in front last time but shouldn’t encounter as much pressure here.
Suggested: 3. TOO FAT TOO SLOW win.

6. THE ROAN RANGER
9. BIZZI TOO
Race 3 – 2:10PM ALCOA PARTNERING WITH OUR COMMUNITY MAIDEN (1409 METRES)
SUN POWER should fiond the front and take some catching. Almost pinched it when good odds second up at Ascot two back and was out-muscled late in a driving finish at Northam last time. Rock hard at this stage of his campaign and really gets his chance against this line up. First-upper STABLE GENIUS ran some big races when last in work and was sharpened up for this in a Bunbury 29/11 trial. Draw hinders, but has to rate highly on his home deck. Liked the way MARLINI found the line last time and this trip suits, while both LIQUIDITY and LIVING DAYLIGHTS are expected to be charging home late.
Suggested: 6. SUN POWER win.

1. STABLE GENIUS
8. LIVING DAYLIGHTS
Race 4 – 2:45PM BOWDEN SELECT MAIDEN (1200 METRES)
Pretty deep maiden this and eventually opted for the Pike-ridden I HOPE YOU DANCE. Just beaten at her first two runs during her initial campaign and the form around her reads quite well. Given a nice blow out in a Bunbury 29/11 trial and she looks set to give this a nudge fresh. Black-booked PUB BRAWL after his first-up Northam result and he’ll appreciate the rise to 1200m. Maley and McNaught are a good combo. RAPID TRANSIT ran into a smart one in Zenaze last time, while KITGUM and CASINO WAR were both brave in defeat last start and should figure prominently in the finish again.
Suggested: 7. I HOPE YOU DANCE each way.

1. RAPID TRANSIT
8. CASINO WAR
Race 5 – 3:20PM ALCOA PINJARRA REFINERY HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Good contest this and going to stick with CHATTER SESSION. Was a good result when winning first up, but comig back to the 1000m last time didn’t suit and he also encountered traffic issues in the straight. Much better placed back over this trip and with positive tactics from the high draw, he’ll go close. Fellow on-pacer TRAMIKA has to rate highly with his strong recent Ascot formlines. Will roll forward also and get his chance on top of the speed. WAR IN PARADISE thrived with the addition of blinkers last time and is a major player again, while a fresh VERDANDI warrants consideration also.
Suggested: 7. CHATTER SESSION win.

4. WAR IN PARADISE
Race 6 – 3:55PM HARCOURTS MANDURAH HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
Plenty of chances in this handicap, but happy to play OUR IDYLL each way. Bolted in at Northam over this trip three back, before testing the highly-regarded Superstorm and then having little luck in a decent race at Ascot last start. Should’ve gone close last start and with even luck, she can make an impact in this. Likely leader TRADENSIA has her share of ability and is a horse on the rise. Fellow 3YO filly IS A BOMBSHELL looks really well placed back in this grade and her best form stands out in this line up, while last-start maiden winners TOLLMAN and ALIMENTARIA will have admirers also.
Suggested: 6. OUR IDYLL each way.
6. OUR IDYLL
9. IS A BOMBSHELL
Race 7 – 4:35PM ALCOA PINJARRA GRANDSTAND CUP (1500 METRES)
Big edition of the Grandtand Cup and despite Pike not being onboard, this race does look set up nicely for BURNING PRIDE. Had no luck first up and bounced back strongly at Bunbury last time, working outside a genuine tempo and proving too classy late. Back in trip a slight query, but she can elevate even further and maps superbly from the draw. The Pike-ridden CELTIC COURT goes good though and has to be a major player. 33 days since his first-up run isn’t ideal, but has to be respected. Stablemate ACONITE should figure also, while ZERO DEMERITS and RECHARGER are not without claims.
Suggested: 10. BURNING PRIDE each way.
10. BURNING PRIDE
6. CELTIC COURT
9. ZERO DEMERITS
Race 8 – 5:10PM JRM RESOURCES HANDICAP (1300 METRES)
If you’re looking to blast out this is a really tough race, but more than happy to have LIL’ RED BIKINI locked in on top. Won well when resuming at Ascot and was one of the runs of the day at Bunbury last start, coming from a hopeless position in running to flash late. Needs some favours from the high draw, but if the breaks come she’ll be thereabouts. Last-start maiden dead-heater CENSURE is improving and maps well from the low draw. Home track specialist LUCKY LINDA LULU is never far away, while PALACHINO and LICKETY SPLIT are both expected to drift back and surge late.
Suggested: 9. LIL’ RED BIKINI each way.
9. LIL’ RED BIKINI
3. LUCKY LINDA LULU
1. LICKETY SPLIT
