Race 1 – 1:22PM TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BET MAIDEN (1200 METRES)

Been tracking POWER OF ST GEORGE for a while now and expecting him to make his presence felt on debut. First showed up in a trial between star juveniles Niccovi and Jericho Missile in January, and has won both subsequent trial outings, including a Straight 1000 Pinjarra 12/8 heat. Looks to have some class about him, hard to beat. Liked the way first-starter MELODY’S SECRET hit the line behind Amelia’s Contraire in her latest Lark Hill trial and she’s drawn to give this a shake. AGENT JAY caught the eye in that same heat, while EUROTRIP should rebound after a below-par debut performance.

Tips: 5-11-4-3
Suggested: 5. POWER OF ST GEORGE win.

5. POWER OF ST GEORGE
11. MELODY’S SECRET
4. AGENT JAY
3. EUROTRIP

Race 2 – 1:57PM GLENROY CHAFF MAIDEN (1200 METRES)

BELLE OF LIBERTY stands out. Trialled brilliantly at Lark Hill 22/7 and really was a good thing beat when $3.50 to $2.80 on debut two weeks back, getting held up at a vital stage and only going down a nose. Certain to be ridden positively from the draw with only 51.5kg and with even luck should be winning. MIMS WIN has performed well in two outings so far and with a patient ride from this high draw, should be finishing off strongly. TINTO BELLE and recent smart trial winner JARMAN are considered major players, but are also expected to drift back and run on late.

Tips: 14-5-6-1
Suggested: 14. BELLE OF LIBERTY win.

14. BELLE OF LIBERTY
5. MIMS WIN
6. JARMAN
1. MAY KEEP HIM

Race 3 – 2:34PM TRACK FASHION MANDURAH MARINA MAIDEN (1400 METRES)

Happy to follow-up with TOO FAT TOO SLOW. Liked his debut effort and he should’ve won last start when forced to race three-wide no cover throughout, before being out-bobbed on the line by Stevie’s Wonder. Strong effort under the circumstances and gets his chance to make amends in this. TRADE FAIR EXPRESS has been building towards a maiden win and with a reasonable run from his high draw, is expected to work his way into the finish. FAIR GLORY boxed on bravely after racing wide throughout last time, while blinkers on may be the trick for costly conveyance MANHATTAN MONEY.

Tips: 3-5-12-10
Suggested: 3. TOO FAT TOO SLOW win.

3. TOO FAT TOO SLOW
5. TRADE FAIR EXPRESS
12. MANHATTAN MONEY
10. AMILLIONITE

Race 4 – 3:12PM 100 CLUB APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN MAIDEN (2000 METRES)

Wide-open 2000m maiden and with low confidence opted to side with SIMONELLY. Has competed well at each of her five runs this prep and was pretty solid behind Too Close The Sun when stepping up to 1700m for the first time last start. Needs plenty to go right from the draw, but simply has to warrant consideration. BLOOM AWAY is the likely fave and the obvious horse to beat, especially with Pike back in the saddle. Didn’t mind the run of QUEEN KARNILLA first up and that hit out should bring her forward significantly, while XAARMERIT should race on top of the speed and get his chance from there.

Tips: 6-7-8-2
Suggested: 6. SIMONELLY each way.

6. SIMONELLY
7. BLOOM AWAY
8. QUEEN KARNILLA
2. XAARMERIT

Race 5 – 3:48PM A1 LOCKSMITH HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

THE BEACH does her best racing down the Pinjarra Straight 1000 and happy to have her on top. Ran into a couple of promising types in Proconsent and Nickel Queen last start, but matched motors with them for the most part, and that form should stack up in this. DRAGONFLIES has gone close at both outings this track/distance this prep and should appreciate the winkers going on. Was heavily supported last start also when $4.20 to $2.90, while stablemates LEAGUE OF NATIONS and MCEDITH are kicking off their campaigns, and are both expected to make their presence felt.

Tips: 11-3-5-4
Suggested: 11. THE BEACH each way.

11. THE BEACH
3. DRAGONFLIES
5. LEAGUE OF NATIONS
4. SMART TYCOON

Race 6 – 4:27PM BOWDEN SELECT HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

FIRESALE will be hard to out on his home track. Loomed to win before being gunned down late by the well-regarded Early Explorer in a similar event to this last start, and that does look a particularly strong form line. If Chris Parnham can slot in with cover, Firesale should have plenty of fuel to launch late. SHE’S A GALAH led and fought on well in the same lead-up race and should enjoy a similar on-speed running position from this low draw. Race hardened at this stage of her prep also. Didn’t mind the efforts of AMBER HIGHWAY and FROSTY HEART last start, who both had excuses in running.

Tips: 1-11-7-13
Suggested: 1. FIRESALE each way.

1. FIRESALE
11. SHE’S A GALAH
7. AMBER HIGHWAY
13. FROSTY HEART

Race 7 – 5:05PM HYGAIN HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

Hard to look past ABBY LANE after his brave Belmont victory in this grade last week. On a day that suited horses close to the inside rail, this fellow defied the pattern when striding up three-wide no cover in transit and drawing clear in the straight after being $4.60 into $3.50. Simply has to be the one to beat on the strength of that result. Likely leader I’M ICEY should give him something to catch though and will be even better suited if the anticipated rain doesn’t arrive. STORMY RULER doesn’t know how to run a bad race, while MEGADON did a good job after being wide throughout last start.

Tips: 3-5-1-9
Suggested: 3. ABBY LANE win.

3. ABBY LANE
5. I’M ICEY
1. STORMY RULER
9. MEGADON
