Race 1 – 1:27PM RACING ASSIST MAIDEN (1400 METRES)

LYLE’S CHOICE stretched the smart Adelaide Ace on debut in a similar event to this two weeks back and gets the perfect opportunity to go one better. Should be no excuses in this small field and if he replicates last start’s closing speed he’ll salute comfortably. LEICA JAGUAR has some ability and ran into a smart one last start, but the 28 days between runs is a query. Still looks a standout second pick. MISSALFIE has shown potential at trials and no surprise to race competitively on debut, while first-starter BELLA SCELTA has been improving with every trial and hails from a nice family.

Tips: 2-1-5-4
Suggested: 2. LYLE’S CHOICE win.

2. LYLE’S CHOICE
1. LEICA JAGUAR
5. MISSALFIE
4. BELLA SCELTA

Race 2 – 2:07PM JOCKEY ASSIST MAIDEN (2200 METRES)

Wide-open 2200m maiden and with low confidence have sided with QUEEN KARNILLA. Rated one of the major players when a $5.50 chance in a similar event last start, but bungled the start and was chasing the race from there. Like the booking of Lucy Warwick and with a clean getaway she should be close enough to strike in this small field. SILVER QUEEN has a strong Northam profile and was solid in the same race as Queen Karnilla last time. MIDNIGHT BLACK is holding consistent form and will no doubt be suited with Pike on board, while AMAZING LOVE can run some big races, but does mix up her form.

Tips: 3-6-1-4
Suggested: 3. QUEEN KARNILLA win.

3. QUEEN KARNILLA
6. SILVER QUEEN
1. MIDNIGHT BLACK
4. AMAZING LOVE

Race 3 – 2:42PM MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MAIDEN (1100 METRES)

PARIS REPORT looks well placed and should take some beating. Competed well against reasonable opposition on debut, before running into very smart duo Celebrity Queen and Some Sort in a strong midweek assignment last time. With a patient ride she should be hitting the line hard late. Likely leader SCANDOLO was gunned down by Jenja two weeks back and will give them something to catch again. Like the way first-starter SON OF A GOD found the line in his Lark Hill 2/09 trial, while SECAIT will have admirers with Pike on at his first run for new trainer N

Tips: 9-1-8-5
Suggested: 9. PARIS REPORT win.

9. PARIS REPORT
1. SCANDOLO
8. SON OF A GOD
5. SECAIT

Race 4 – 3:17PM YOU CAN TALK MAIDEN HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

Expecting MISS MARANTA to give this a shake first up. Didn’t show a lot in two runs last prep, but both of her recent Lark Hill trials have been good, including her latest when matching strides with recent Belmont winner Nerodio. Should settle midfield from the low draw and just needs galloping room in the straight to make an impact. SEEING DAYLIGHT is a major winning chance also, having had little luck at his two runs this prep. Should enjoy a more suitable passage in transit from a low draw. NOBEL RIZE should be running on, while possible leader TRASH PANDA should boxed on late.

Tips: 8-5-3-6
Suggested: 8. MISS MARANTA win.

5. SEEING DAYLIGHT
3. NOBEL RIZE
6. TRASH PANDA

Race 5 – 3:53PM REACH OUT HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

KORANIS made the perfect start for the Pearce Bros two weeks back and looks the horse to beat again. Was $4.80 to $2.50 first up for his new stable and always appeared to be travelling well, letting down with strength when the gaps appeared in the straight. Maps to advantage and should get every chance. ORAVA has been a touch below his best in two runs this prep, but in stronger company than this. Randy Tan goes back on and has to rate highly back in grade. ENSIGN PULVER continues to race consistently, while SCHIMMEL is tested at the 1300m, but should enjoy a soft run in transit.

Tips: 5-1-2-6
Suggested: 5. KORANIS win.

5. KORANIS
1. ORAVA
2. ENSIGN PULVER
6. SCHIMMEL

Race 6 – 4:30PM CHECK ON A MATE HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

CHAMPAGNE GAL looks ready to win. Went oh so close in a similar event at Pinjarra two back and then charged late to figure in a bunched finish to a Belmont Graduation Handicap last time. All the form around her stacks up and with even luck should be going close back in this company. WEE RIPPER is racing a touch below his best, but no surprise to see him elevate with a patient ride from an in-form McNaught. Possible leader ONYA HEAD looks better placed back in this grade and can improve sharply, while AVA EXPRESS dug deep to knock off Bootleg Rascal this track/distance last time.

Tips: 7-5-3-1
Suggested: 7. CHAMPAGNE GAL win.

7. CHAMPAGNE GAL
5. WEE RIPPER
3. ONYA HEAD
1. AVA EXPRESS

Race 7 – 5:10PM SPEAK OUT HANDICAP (2200 METRES)

Plenty of winning chances in this 2200m Handicap and ended up locking in BUCKTORIO on top. Finished off strong in a similar race to this last start, his first attempt beyond 1800m, and that effort should top him off nicely for this. Turner will put him to sleep from a low draw and if saved up should figure prominently. SUGAR CAIN will be backed to return to winning form and did salute this track/distance three back. Pike back on is the key. Possible leader UNCLE LINO is racing well, but 29 days between runs isn’t ideal, while last-start winner GLOBAL RESET has to warrant consideration.

Tips: 9-2-1-4
Suggested: 9. BUCKTORIO each way.

9. BUCKTORIO
2. SUGAR CAIN
1. UNCLE LINO
4. GLOBAL RESET
