Race 1 – 2:04PM TABTOUCH MAIDEN (1000 METRES)

HOLY GHOST should give this a shake fresh. Displayed promise as a juvenile when placing twice at Belmont last season, and worked home nicely behind recent Northam winner Amelia Bedelia in his lead-up trial. Should find the rail in front for an in-form stable and control things from there. Liked the way first-starter LEAD GUITAR found the line in her latest lead-up trial and she’ll get a nice smother in transit from gate one. PROTECTED ACTION should be ready to peak at his third run in, while LA VINA has been slow away at trials, but the way she’s finished off suggests she’s a chance on debut.

Tips: 2-6-1-5
Suggested: 2. HOLY GHOST win.

6. LEAD GUITAR
1. PROTECTED ACTION
5. LA VINA

Race 2 – 2:42PM TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BETTING EXPERIENCE MAIDEN (1200 METRES)

Have to side with BEFFUNJAR. Was doing her best work late first up and chased hard behind the well-regarded Levitate at Bunbury last time, with that formline reading particularly well. Maps to advantage, suited down on 54.5kg and looks the one. No surprise to see THE HONEYMAN run a big race though, having really caught the eye at Bunbury last start. Will drift back again and be strong late. ASCENDANCY wasn’t far away in a busy finish last time and should get every possible from this draw, while first-upper ZIP YOUR LIPS will be working home well late for the Durrant/Pike combination.

Tips: 8-3-7-4
Suggested: 8. BEFFUNJAR win.

8. BEFFUNJAR
3. THE HONEYMAN
7. ASCENDANCY
4. ZIP YOUR LIPS

Race 3 – 3:20PM THE TABTOUCH MASTERS MAIDEN (1600 METRES)

Tricky race to assess and ended up landing on ROSSITER BAY. Haven’t minded both her efforts so far, each in stronger races than this, and she gives the impression the mile will suit. With a patient ride from the outside alley, Rossiter Bay can run over the top of them. BRUNY ISLAND was returning from a lengthy layoff at Geraldton 21/11 and that will bring him forward nicely. Has to be a major player. THE DIVINE WIND is a long-time maiden, but is race fit and in pretty solid form, while AHYOKA FROST maps to advantage and appears to get her chance also.

Tips: 9-2-1-8
Suggested: 9. ROSSITER BAY win.

9. ROSSITER BAY
2. BRUNY ISLAND
1. THE DIVINE WIND
8. AHYOKA FROST

Race 4 – 4:00PM TABTOUCH RACE REPLAYS MAIDEN (1100 METRES)

Competitive maiden this and eventually opted to side with IT’S TIFF’S. Showed up at trials last prep and was again hard to ignore at trials this time in, leading and scoring by 4.4 lengths at her Lark Hill 18/11 hit out. That was a pretty sharp display and if she can bring that form to the races, she really should be winning first up. Have also been impressed with the trial efforts of MAJESTIC HUNTER and expecting a bold showing from him on debut. SUPER TEROITOA has to warrant consideration also, and Durrant-trained debutante MOORUMBINE has shown enough at trials to be a top-four contender.

Tips: 10-5-1-6
Suggested: 10. IT’S TIFF’S win.

10. IT’S TIFF’S
5. MAJESTIC HUNTER
1. SUPER TEROITOA
6. MOORUMBINE

Race 5 – 4:37PM TABTOUCH STREAM RACING LIVE HANDICAP (2200 METRES)

Looks a nice race for APPARITION. Ran some big races as an autumn 3YO and felt he put the writing on the wall third up at 1800m last start, making up a stack of ground after getting a long way back in a slowly run affair. Should land in a more prominent running position from this draw over the 2200m and has a bit of class on his side. FIRST BLACK put in a career-best effort to win comfortably at Bunbury last time. Hard to counter if she can hit that peak again. DEEP PURPLE was brave after doing plenty of work in transit last time, while COOL FROST continues to race consistently.

Tips: 2-1-6-3
Suggested: 2. APPARITION win.

2. APPARITION
1. FIRST BLACK
6. DEEP PURPLE
3. COOL FROST

Race 6 – 5:12PM TABTOUCH GIDDY UP PREMIUM FORM HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Could make a case for all of these, so in a challenging race LIDO BEACH was locked in on top first up. Hasn’t done a lot wrong in his limited career to date and was a good thing beat this track/distance when resuming last prep. Not knocked around in lead-up trial and he’s going to take some beating. Fellow first-upper TO RISE AGAIN has to rate highly, especially considering his Ascot 1000m profile. Trialled nicely recently and will have admirers. No surprise to see STIRLING ESTATE go close, with his last run much better than it reads, while the stable has TRANSGRESSOR racing as well as ever.

Tips: 6-3-8-2
Suggested: 6. LIDO BEACH win.

6. LIDO BEACH
3. TO RISE AGAIN
8. STIRLING ESTATE
2. TRANSGRESSOR

Race 7 – 5:50PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Happy to have ADVOCATOR on top. Endured a tough/wide run first up and improved nicely last start, looking home before being swamped late by well-regarded stablemates Mr Kunafa and Carlton Castle. If she can land in the three-wide line with cover, she can swoop home over the top late. Going to put a line through the second-up effort from ADMIRATION STREET and expecting her to rebound in this. Just needs galloping room from gate one. DIPARA charged home last time and can settle closer from this low draw, while SAFETY BAY is ready for this trip third up and has to be considered.

Tips: 5-6-7-9
Suggested: 5. ADVOCATOR win.

5. ADVOCATOR
6. ADMIRATION STREET
7. DIPARA
9. SAFETY BAY
