Race 1 – 1:49PM FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK MAIDEN (1650 METRES)

NAUGHTY BY NATURE stands out. Flashed home for third on debut, before being arguably a good thing beat behind Saturday’s impressive winner Kay Cee in this grade two weeks back, when held up for a large portion of the straight. Maps to advantage rising to 1700m, and should get every chance with Pike on and the cutaway in play. MOAMA ROSE comes through the same race as Naughty By Nature and competed well after being forced particularly wide on straightening. Looks the main danger. VITAL IMAGE boxed on honestly enough to warrant consideration last start, while RIO ROGUE is next best.

Tips: 5-4-1-2
Suggested: 5. NAUGHTY BY NATURE win.

4. MOAMA ROSE
1. VITAL IMAGE
2. RIO ROGUE

Race 2 – 2:24PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET MAIDEN (1200 METRES)

Anticipating a strong first-up result from NERODIO. Showed plenty of promise during his initial racing campaign and has looked sharp in two lead-up trials, including a strong Lark Hill 26/8 heat win. With even luck in transit from a mid draw, Nerodio should be hard to hold out. Likely leader WARBLER has looked the good at trials, but is yet to really translate that to raceday. Only a matter of time before he does though and his latest 26/8 heat win was impressive. LEICA JAGUAR stretched the smart Born To Try last time, while BERET caught the eye when working home well on debut.

Tips: 8-10-5-4
Suggested: 8. WARBLER win.

8. WARBLER
10. BERET
5. WILLHEGO WEST
4. JARMAN

Race 3 – 2:59PM SALINGER HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Tricky short-course affair this and with low confidence sided with PURE DYNAMITE. Is a new-season 3YO taking on the older horses, but he did everything right in a dominant first-up win this track/distance two weeks back and should take some beating again. Maps to lead or sit outside leader with a clean getaway. LEAGUE OF NATIONS competed well down the Pinjarra Straight 1000 first up and looks suited from a low draw with the cutaway in play. Likes the Belmont 1000 also. No surprise to see PINK ‘N’ GRAY go close first up, while SMART FOX and FREECELL are both obvious major players.

Tips: 12-6-3-1
Suggested: 12. PURE DYNAMITE win.

12. PURE DYNAMITE
6. LEAGUE OF NATIONS
3. PINK ‘N’ GRAY
1. SMART FOX

Race 4 – 3:35PM IRON JACK HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

The well-regarded BORN TO TRY faces an acid test, but expecting her to measure up. Chased home the smart Some Sort when $1.60 on debut, but made amends rising to 1300m last time, when fending off the challengers and again displaying slick closing speed. Suited over 1400m with Pike back on board, and is a really nice horse in the making. BELLE OF LIBERTY scored an all-the-way maiden win when $1.22 at Pinjarra 22/8 and appears the likely leader again. Will take some catching. NICKEL QUEEN has to warrant consideration again, while SPEEDY MISS is a mare with plenty of upside.

Tips: 9-8-1-2
Suggested: 9. BORN TO TRY win.

9. BORN TO TRY
8. BELLE OF LIBERTY
1. NICKEL QUEEN
2. SPEEDY MISS

Race 5 – 4:15PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Hard not to be impressed with the Pinjarra 22/8 win from EUROTRIP and this new-season 3YO looks set to clean up the more-experienced older horses in this. Let down powerfully on that occasion to get the better of Power Of St George, clocking the fastest last 200m split of the day. Hard seeing these being able to match motors with him late. WHAT ABOUT MOSES was three-wide no cover throughout when $3.20 last time and did well to box on late. Previous first-up result reads well also. TYCOON MIKADO looks ready to peak third up, while LOCOMOTIVE lands on-speed and goes close.

Tips: 11-8-6-2
Suggested: 11. EUROTRIP win.

8. WHAT ABOUT MOSES
6. TYCOON MIKADO
2. LOCOMOTIVE

Race 6 – 4:55PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

No stable is hotter than the Pearce Bros combination at present and their emerging front-runner NEXT STOP THE MOON stands out as the horse to beat in this. The sparingly-raced 6YO’s winning run came to an end after absorbing significant pressure out in front last start and only getting over-run late by Purist and Blue Horse. Big run under the circumstances and should be too strong for these. ABBY LANE continues to race well and bravely, having been wide throughout at his last two, while both TONKATUFF and FANCY FOX should be surging home into the top-four from back in the field.

Tips: 3-6-1-7
Suggested: 3. NEXT STOP THE MOON win.

3. NEXT STOP THE MOON
6. ABBY LANE
1. TONKATUFF
7. FANCY FOX

Race 7 – 5:30PM GSSSA FINALIST STEPHANIE MITCHELL HANDICAP (1650 METRES)

Won’t be jumping off HEAVENLY AFFAIR on the quick back up. Have tracked this mare closely and she’s really starting to fulfill her ample potential, posting two confidence-boosting wins this track/distance in succession. Improving every time she goes to the races and should make it three on the trot. The race really opens up after likely short-priced fave Heavenly Affair, with DEMI GO ROUND and MASTER PEARL both major players coming off strong Pinjarra 22/8 wins, while RAYARNIE, BOMBARDMENT and FROSTY HEART are all racing well enough to warrant consideration.

Tips: 1-9-8-4
Suggested: 1. HEAVENLY AFFAIR win.

1. HEAVENLY AFFAIR
9. DEMI GO ROUND
8. MASTER PEARL
4. RAYARNIE
