Race 1 – 1:14PM TABTOUCH-BETTER YOUR BET MAIDEN (1000 METRES)

Looks a nice race for TAKEMEHOMETONIGHT. Promised a bit with Justin Warwick before being sold recently and should prove hard to beat for new trainer Martin Allan. The Pink Carats and Stylax form this prep stacks up, and she gets her chance with Chris Parnham on from a low draw. SOMETHINGREADY was something beaten at Northam last Thursday. On a steep learning curve but is going to win her share of races. After strong trial results MISSILE was hard in the market at his Ascot 24/03 debut. No lead-up trial this prep and stable will have him ready to fire. Debutante THE INVISIBLE MAN went in the black book after his Lark Hill 22/03 trial win.

Tips: 6-7-2-4
Suggested: 6. TAKEMEHOMETONIGHT win.

6. TAKEMEHOMETONIGHT
7. SOMETHINGREADY
2. MISSILE
4. THE INVISIBLE MAN

Race 2 – 1:49PM FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK HANDICAP (1700 METRES)

BUSTER BASH will have admirers but happy to roll with GHOBELLA. Settled right on top of the speed in a race that suited the swoopers last Wednesday and she did well to box on late. With a nice smother in transit this filly should have a heap of fuel left to run over the top. Buster Bash is in-form, as is the Harrison stable, and gives himself every chance out in front. Recent Pinjarra results stack up and he has to be the big threat. LE GRAND RISQUE got out the ground late to win well first up and appears likely to appreciate the sharp rise in trip. The latest run of SEE YA CHAMP is better than it reads, while FLETCHER ROAD comes off a mid-prep trial win, blinkers go on, could be the blowout.

Tips: 4-2-3-8
Suggested: 4. GHOBELLA win.

4. GHOBELLA
2. BUSTER BASH
3. LE GRAND RISQUE
8. SEE YA CHAMP
6. FLETCHER ROAD

Race 3 – 2:24PM AMELIA PARK PLATE (1400 METRES)

Kiwi import CHEERFUL MOMENT looks hard to beat. Met with good support at his WA debut and made up a stack of late ground after settling last. Looked the goods by chasing home a smart one in Treasured Star at the Lark Hill 16/07 trials and that pipe-opener will have sharpened him right up for this assignment. MOUNTAIN ASH was strong late on debut and just peaked last start after landing on top of the speed. Shouldn’t be a maiden for too long. GROUND BRAKER made up ground again last start but another high draw hurts, while Pike goes on likely leader SO LIKABLE, who looks capable of elevating second up.

Tips: 5-4-1-8
Suggested: 5. CHEERFUL MOMENT win.

5. CHEERFUL MOMENT
4. MOUNTAIN ASH
1. GROUND BRAKER
8. SO LIKABLE

Race 4 – 3:00PM CROWN TOWERS HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Tough race this one and ended up siding with the best horse in the race in KARIJINI AURORA. Enjoys a significant drop in class after competing in Saturday ratings races all campaign and her effort in a strong form race behind The Spruiker two back was encouraging. Pike on and tapping into her best form, Karijini Aurora should salute. STELLA FAIR had no luck when wide throughout last week and no surprise to see her improve sharply up in trip and down in weights. Expecting to see GOLD MERITS ridden more positively this time and she may even lead them up. DIVINE QUEST is 41 days between runs with bar shoes on, but her best sees her figure prominently.

Tips: 1-7-3-2
Suggested: 1. KARIJINI AURORA win.

1. KARIJINI AURORA
7. GOLD MERITS
3. DIVINE QUEST
2. CORNFLOWER

Race 5 – 3:35PM WESTERN RACEPIX HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

IRRITABLE RODNEE is a nice horse in the making and looks set to make it two on the bounce. Dominated proceedings from outside leader first up at Pinjarra 8/07, stretching out stylishly late on the heavy going. Rolls forward again and will be hard to get past. This looks the best opportunity HOLY GHOST has had for a while. Suited back in grade and just needs to land a pair closer in running. The best of backmarker TRUMP THIS stacks up and look out for him rocketing late in this company. OXBRIDGE is racing consistently and maps to be afforded every opportunity.

Tips: 3-2-7-1
Suggested: 3. IRRITABLE RODNEE win.

3. IRRITABLE RODNEE
2. HOLY GHOST
7. OXBRIDGE
1. ARTIE’S COMET

Race 6 – 4:15PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Pretty keen on MISS VASARI first up. Impressed with everything this filly did during her initial racing campaign and her two trials this prep have been spot on. Blinkers on is a sign of intent from the Morton yard and Chris Parnham sticking is noteworthy also. Likely leader CROSS STATEMENT comes back to midweek company after running into a fire-breathing Secret Plan last Saturday week. Takes some catching. SMASHING is the class runner and had no luck at all first up when caught off the track the entire, while the likes of HOT MIX and GHOST WHO WALKS will have admirers also.

Tips: 6-3-7-1
Suggested: 6. MISS VASARI win.

6. MISS VASARI
3. CROSS STATEMENT
7. SMASHING
1. GHOST WHO WALKS
*Numbers amended after scratchings

Race 7 – 4:55PM PERTH RACING CLUB MEMBERSHIP HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Thinking this looks a good option for DIABLERIE. Does the majority of his racing in Saturday ratings events so this grade looks really suitable and he was working home well at his first outing in 59 days last Saturday week. Gets the draw he needs and Diablerie may represent value on the day. FOREST WAR is flying for his new stable and looks really hard to beat. Only concern is how far from the leader he gets if they elect to go back early. FIRST LAW is a talented 3YO on his day and forget he went around last start when pulling up lame. Refreshed and ready to roll, while MASTERING was solid first up and is much better suited rising to 1200m and coming back in grade.

Tips: 4-3-2-5
Suggested: 4. DIABLERIE each way.

4. DIABLERIE
3. FOREST WAR
2. FIRST LAW
5. MASTERING
