Race 1 – 1:44PM FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK MAIDEN (1600 METRES)

Quite a few hopes in this mile maiden but it does look the race for PRIVATE SCENE. Knocking on the door this prep with three second from her last four outings and the form around her holds up. Gets the right run up on top of the speed and Joe Azzopardi should ensure she gets her chance. SESSIONS PEAK is the major danger and is similarly close to breaking through. Leads or box seats from this alley. OCEAN AURA ran into a smart one when resuming three weeks back and shouldn’t be a maiden for too much longer, while LA GALEXIA never got clear last start and the blinkers go on TIGER MOVE from gate one.

Tips: 9-4-8-11
Suggested: 9. PRIVATE SCENE win.

9. PRIVATE SCENE
4. SESSIONS PEAK
8. OCEAN AURA
11. LA GALEXIA
1. TIGER MOVE

Race 2 – 2:19PM TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

PRINCE RAGNAR stands out first up. Was a beaten fave twice last prep but did compete well on each occasion and moved stylishly in his Lark Hill 10/01 trial win. Expected to find the rail in front and be a bit too slick from there. COBBANCO is a nice horse, refreshed after a fighting Belmont 15/12 win last start. 1000m likely too short for him but he can still figure. VRANYO is one of the better performed maidens around and she was readied for this in a Belmont 17/01 trial. Likely lands outside Prince Ragnar in transit, while SPINALONG TIME has some speed and a low draw and the two recent trials from DANGOTE have been encouraging.

Tips: 3-1-5-8
Suggested: 3. PRINCE RAGNAR win.

5. VRANYO
8. SPINALONG TIME
2. DANGOTE

Race 3 – 2:54PM RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Don’t mind SOMETHINGREADY first up. Have always felt this mare had potential and she did come along last prep, but she looked in really good nick in her Lark Hill 25/01 trial. Just needs to keep in touch over the 1000m but if within striking distance on straightening, Somethingready can be strongest late. Likely leader CRITICAL ALTITUDE will take some catching. Went under as a $1.40 fave first up but has been kept fresh since and the blinkers are on. CASH AWAY won well down the Straight 1000 at Pinjarra 20/01 and looks a player in this, while first-uppers CHOICE BID and ALBUKHTURI are not without claims.

Tips: 5-6-2-4
Suggested: 5. SOMETHINGREADY win.

5. SOMETHINGREADY
6. CRITICAL ALTITUDE
2. CASH AWAY
4. CHOICE BID
1. ALBUKHTURI

Race 4 – 3:34PM WESTERN RACEPIX HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Another competitive affair but like the way HIS EMINENCE has been building this prep and thinking he can measure up at this level. Maiden to Class 3 is a reasonable leap, but the formlines around him stack up, gets a nice passage from the draw and the Colin Webster stable have really ramped things up recently. Hard to fault ARNO THE FOX though, coming off two dominant wins. Finally hit his straps as an 8YO and the Liz Strempel is enjoying a purple patch also. BANDALERA MISS continues to race consistently and she’s expected to make her presence felt on the three-day backup, while CAPTAIN BURGLAR and CHAMPAGNE GAL won’t be far away.

Tips: 4-2-5-3
Suggested: 4. HIS EMINENCE win.

4. HIS EMINENCE
2. ARNO THE FOX
5. BANDALERA MISS
3. CAPTAIN BURGLAR
8. CHAMPAGNE GAL

Race 5 – 4:15PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Pretty keen on east-coast import KOHLI second up in WA. Plenty of merit in his first-up third behind Eeyore Wayz and Phanta, with Phanta coming out and winning at Ascot on Saturday. Gets the drop on the leaders from this low draw and looks to have the right platform to launch coming out of that fast 1300m race last start. PHONEME is the obvious threat after an excellent first-up result at Ascot 15/01. Maps soft from gate one and gets last crack at them. RED PUBLISHER looks well placed in this grade and just needs a reasonable passage from the awkward draw, while SPILLINOVA and DIVINE PAIR are both top-four contenders also.

Tips: 6-3-2-7
Suggested: 6. KOHLI win.

6. KOHLI
3. PHONEME
2. RED PUBLISHER
7. DIVINE PAIR
4. ZETORIO

Race 6 – 4:50PM ALL FLAGS SIGNS AND BANNERS HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

Can make a case for quite a few of these and going to narrowly side with I’M ALL MISS on top. Won very comfortably on debut at Pinjarra 20/01, really crunching the opposition late and if Brad Parnham gets some cover from this alley, I’m All Miss is expected to let down over the top again. RULELEE was huge in her last-start maiden win when wide/no cover the entire. Can certainly go on with it. FIND YOUR MAN is expected to have a heaps of admirers again, while GUARD THE SAFE likes Belmont and STELLA FAIR can impact first up for Durrant and CJP.

Tips: 5-7-1-2
Suggested: 5. I’M ALL MISS win.

5. I’M ALL MISS
7. RULELEE
1. FIND YOUR MAN
2. GUARD THE SAFE
12. STELLA FAIR

Race 7 – 5:30PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

ZOUDINI will take some beating. Impressed with his first-up WA victory two back and loomed to win but just couldn’t quite in a 1400m race they marched along in last week. Maps sweetly, like the seven-day backup and coiled up Zoudini can let down over the top. CAPTAIN SHARMANE will be well found by the market though and should be peaking third up. Slides in nicely with 56.5kg and maps to advantage also. Didn’t mind the recent runs from LIL’ RED BIKINI, so she’s a must for your quaddies, while KELVIN was better last start and could be ready to recapture form and STAR PRESENT rolls forward and boxes on.

Tips: 4-7-9-3
Suggested: 4. ZOUDINI win.

4. ZOUDINI
7. CAPTAIN SHARMANE
9. LIL’ RED BIKINI
3. KELVIN
6. STAR PRESENT
