Race 1 – 12:18PM FULLER FITNESS HANDICAP (2000 METRES)

A moral beat last Saturday, ZARATITE gets his chance to make a swift amends. Drops 4kg and afforded clear galloping room late he really should prove too strong. Adam Durrant has TRUE ATTRACTION right back in the zone now and this fellow has the class and closing speed to make things interesting. Another Cerise And White runner in TREASURED CROWN is next best, making the most of clear air to upset Zaratite last week, while the stakes winning LONSDALE LADY finally returned to peak form over a mile last start.

Tips: 3-2-5-1
Suggested: 3. ZARATITE win.

3. ZARATITE
2. TRUE ATTRACTION
5. TREASURED CROWN
1. BELLA’S IDOL
*Numbers amended after scratchings

Race 2 – 12:57PM TABTOUCH WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Looks the race for CLASSY MACRO. Has punched the breeze three wide at both runs this prep, but that won’t be an issue beginning from gate one. Should stalk likely leader OHBEEH and get the last crack at him. Ohbeeh is on the quick backup after getting overhauled in the shadows last week. 1400m is probably a stretch, so better suited coming back to the 1200m. BEDOUIN BELLE is a competitor and has to be in the mix in a thin line up, while LOOKS LIKE MAGIC caught the eye first up for a new stable and could be the blowout.

Tips: 1-2-8-6
Suggested: 1. OHBEEH win.

1. OHBEEH
2. BEDOUIN BELLE
8. LOOKS LIKE MAGIC
6. MIND TRICKS
*Numbers amended after scratchings

Race 3 – 1:37PM THE BARN MARTIAL ARTS AND FITNESS PLATE (1300 METRES)

The David Harrison yard is on fire and SEARCHIN’ ROC’S can keep things rolling as she searches for a third straight victory. Impressed with the versatility and determination she showed last start, and with a soft run from this draw it’ll take something pretty decent to hold her out. Really like the looks of Peters Investments debutante FINE ROMANCE at trials. Expecting her to make her presence felt. FOREVER AUTUMN got the favours last start but let down like a smart customer. Have some time for a now-gelded SUCCESS PLAY and no surprise to see him fire fresh coming off two handy trials.

Tips: 4-9-2-5
Suggested: 4. SEARCHIN’ ROC’S win.

4. SEARCHIN’ ROC’S
9. FINE ROMANCE
2. FOREVER AUTUMN
5. SUCCESS PLAY

Race 4 – 2:17PM WAJA HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

THE SPRUIKER has been the revelation of the winter but thinking W. Pike and PICTURE PERFECT may be able to deny him a fifth straight win. Picture Perfect has long promised plenty but get the impression he’s ready to deliver this prep after really catching the eye over 1400m first up. Saved up Pike-style in transit, he can launch over the top. The Spruiker has his first look at the mile maps to get every conceivable from this draw. Has to be the horse to beat. FUHRER was massive first up for a new yard and will take some catching out in front, while RED PUBLISHER is coming out of higher-graded races.

Tips: 5-3-1-4
Suggested: 5. PICTURE PERFECT win.

5. PICTURE PERFECT
3. THE SPRUIKER
1. FUHRER
4. RED PUBLISHER

Race 5 – 2:55PM JOCKEY CELEBRATION DAY SPRINT (1000 METRES)

Gun sprinter INDIAN PACIFIC is back in WA and should make a winning return. Went within a head of Group 1 glory in the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington in February and showed he could be even better this prep with a slick Lark Hill trial win on Monday. Class horse but will still need to be close to his best to win with 62kg. JERICHO MISSILE was runner up to FLOYD in this race last year and is primed to impact again. First-upper Floyd loves the Belmont 1000m and flies fresh, while DON’T FUSS can elevate down in weight with Pike on.

Tips: 6-2-5-4
Suggested: 6. JERICHO MISSILE win.

6. JERICHO MISSILE
2. FLOYD
5. DON’T FUSS
4. CHARLETON EDDIE
*Numbers amended after scratchings

Race 6 – 3:30PM TONI’S 50TH BIRTHDAY HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

EXPRESS TIME found the front and licked them this track/distance two back. Unlikely to find the rail with DRINKWHATYOULIKE engaged on this occasion, but he’s a proper 1000m horse, is in ripping form and did win from the breeze four starts back. STRATHMORE ROSE and BLAZING BILLY are both interesting first-uppers and have to be considered. Strathmore Rose knows how to win, while Blazing Billy looked slick in his Lark Hill 16/07 trial win. And the best of SASSY TRADER puts him right in the finish off an 11-week let up.

Tips: 1-6-4-5
Suggested: 1. EXPRESS TIME win.

1. EXPRESS TIME
6. STRATHMORE ROSE
4. BLAZING BILLY
5. SASSY TRADER

Race 7 – 4:00PM TECHWORKS HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Like the style of MISS VASARI and confident she can handle a sharp class rise. Tracked up nicely in a muddling race first up, so had some favours, but really put them to the sword late. Slides in right on the minimum with Chris Parnham on board and lands in the slot from this draw. REBEL KNIGHT has had some issues over the journey but certainly has some talent. Peak form stacks up and he can let loose first up. Hard to fault REIGN OF FIRE and his solid form, and perhaps 2.5kg off can help him over the hump. Likely leader LONDON MISS gives some cheek.

Tips: 7-3-5-4
Suggested: 7. MISS VASARI win.

7. MISS VASARI
3. REBEL KNIGHT
5. REIGN OF FIRE
4. LONDON MISS

Race 8 – 4:35PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Thinking the extra 2000m will be enough for SKETTA to turn the tables on ALL DAY SESSION. Pike went on back to the 1000m last Saturday week and Sketta zipped home along the fence when a strongly-supported $2.70 fave. With a soft run from this low draw Sketta should get it done. All Day Session looked in strife last start but when he found daylight he really cut loose. In the zone now, very hard to beat. OUR DANNI was excellent against the older horses first up. Expected to roll forward and challenge for the lead. Have some time for GUNMETAL GREY and she can hold her own in this company.

Tips: 6-1-2-5
Suggested: 6. SKETTA win.

6. SKETTA
1. ALL DAY SESSION
2. OUR DANNI
5. GUNMETAL GREY

Race 9 – 5:10PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

GINGER BAKER looks the one in the get out. Stiff last Saturday when in front before and after the post, but out-bobbed right on the line by Vital Flirt. Stable has Ginger Baker flying, Ryan Hill rides him well and maps to advantage from this draw. With positive tactics IRRITABLE RODNEE could find the rail in front in a race without a real leader. Will be tough to get past from there. Like the way STYLAX was only getting warmed up late at Pinjarra 22/07. Promising and can impact. REGAL MAGIC looks ready to win one, will they go forward from the high draw?

Tips: 1-7-10-9
Suggested: 1. GINGER BAKER win.

1. GINGER BAKER
7. IRRITABLE RODNEE
10. STYLAX
9. REGAL MAGIC
