Race 1 – 12:04PM FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK MAIDEN (1300 METRES)
The powerful Peters Investments operation will have a big say on how this meeting plays out and they’ll be looking to get off to a fast start with BRAVE DREAM. Liked what this mare showed as an early 3YO and had a $3.20 SP against some reasonable opposition at her only start 12 months ago. Went to the line with plenty in the tank in her Lark Hill 7/09 trial and with a patient ride from this high draw, she should swoop over the top at her first start for Adam Durrant. Fellow first-upper ZINGANO could find the front and show some cheek, MY HIDDEN JOURNEY gets back and runs on with strength, TRADE FAIR EXPRESS rolls forward and boxes on, while MAFEKING could surprise first up in WA.
Suggested: 10. BRAVE DREAM win.

Race 2 – 12:44PM AMELIA PARK PLATE (1200 METRES)
Locking in INDIGO BLUE to account for quality topweight DOM TO SHOOT. Indigo Blue was very well supported at her midweek debut and was a moral beaten, getting jammed up in traffic, launching late and just missing. Don’t think the Durrant Camp will be looking to make the same mistake again, so expecting Indigo Blue to lead or land outside leader, and control proceedings from there. Dom To Shoot was excellent first-up this track/distance, but he maps rearwards again and has 59.5kg to deal with also. Can he concede field position and 5.5kg and still win? Have plenty of time for PRECAUTIONARY, she could be the knockout, while multiple trial-winner LIFE FOR A LIFE can compete well on debut.
Suggested: 5. INDIGO BLUE win.

2. LIFE FOR A LIFE
Race 3 – 1:19PM TABTOUCH WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Tricky affair this and thought perhaps CARABINIER could bob up at a price. Enjoyed some decent results during his 2YO and 3YO seasons, has an Ascot 1200m Class 3 win to his name and did trial very well behind star sprinter Red Can Man at Belmont on Monday. This race is there for the taking and if Carabinier shows up, he can give this a nudge fresh. Expecting fellow first-upper PLAYING RED to have admirers, hailing from the Durrant yard and coming off a nice Lark Hill 7/09 trial effort. Will be strong late, while the best of natural on-pacers ANGRY ANNIE and TAJMALI makes them both very hard to beat.
Suggested: 6. CARABINIER each way.
9. PLAYING RED
1. ANGRY ANNIE
Race 4 – 1:59PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
Difficult to separate RIVER BEAU, EEYORE WAYZ and SPECIAL CHOICE, and eventually opted to roll with River Beau first up. Ran some big races last prep against strong opposition especially over the 1000m journey, and the way he performed in a Lark Hill 7/09 trial hit-out suggests Bruce Watkins has him ready to fire fresh. Eeyore Wayz tasted defeat for the first time this prep last start, but there was still plenty of merit in the effort, clocking similar late splits as the winner despite carrying 6.5kg more. Suited back to the 1000m, just needs to hold form. Special Choice has class and her 3YO peak performances stand out. What can she do first up at 1000m? WEAPONSON rounds out the top four.
Suggested: 1. RIVER BEAU win.
1. RIVER BEAU
2. EEYORE WAYZ
5. SPECIAL CHOICE
Race 5 – 2:39PM MORLEY GROWERS MARKET HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Pretty keen to be on board with LAST OF THE LINE. Tracked him closely during his first racing prep and he produced the goods, winning twice at Ascot, including a very high rating 1400m victory in April. Wasn’t knocked around by Ryan Hill in a Lark Hill 7/09 trial, but this fellow is going places and expecting the stable to be keen to launch a first-up assault. APPROACH is in red-hot form and certainly has a race-fitness advantage. Can’t do any more and his closing speed has been significant recently. NATIVE CHIMES is on a roll now, winning her last two stylishly, and she deserves a crack in this company, while no surprise to see WA Oaks placegetter MISS DOMINICAN run a race first up.
Suggested: 2. LAST OF THE LINE win.
2. LAST OF THE LINE
6. NATIVE CHIMES
5. MISS DOMINICAN
Race 6 – 3:20PM BYRON BAY PREMIUM LAGER HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Fascinating race, but if INSPIRATIONAL GIRL is as good as suspected, she’ll find a way. Does have to take on gifted Cerise And White teammate WESTERN PRIDE with 4.5kg more, but she really should be undefeated and her last-start victory over Massimo was one of the best performance of the 2020 Belmont season. On a path to bigger and better, and Inspirational Girl gets it done. Delicate mare Western Pride’s career looked in trouble when finishing down the track last June, but Peters Inc and Adam Durrant have got her back to the races and on her peak form, she will take some beating. Likely leader PATRISTIC will give a kick down on 54kg, while ZERO DEMERITS won too well to ignore last start.
Suggested: 1. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL win.
1. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL
7. WESTERN PRIDE
5. ZERO DEMERITS
Race 7 – 3:55PM NICOPOLIS STAKES (1200 METRES)
Looking forward to this contest and kept coming around to sharp mare CELEBRITY QUEEN first up. Always looked above average and stamped her class with three wins last prep, all as a 3YO filly against older horses. Hard not to like her fast Lark Hill 7/09 trial win and with an uninterrupted passage, she has the closing speed to run over the top. CLIFFS OF COMFORT will relish rising to 1200m and maps to rail in front for the first time this prep. Will take some catching. MONEY MATTERS is a ripper, but does have to concede his main rivals 5.5kg. Will be some performance if he can win again, while MULTIVERSE is running his heart out at listed level and could knock them all off.
Suggested: 7. CELEBRITY QUEEN win.
7. CELEBRITY QUEEN
8. CLIFFS OF COMFORT
2. MONEY MATTERS
Race 8 – 4:35PM PEOPLESTART HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Hasn’t quite lived up to expectations, but this particular assignment looks set up perfectly for OCEAN’S FIFTEEN to get back on track. Beaten favourite at each of his four starts last prep, but in fairness his form was still pretty solid and he clearly has his share of ability. Liked his soft Belmont 31/08 trial hit-out and he really should be saluting against these, who all look like they’re on their mark. Tough on-pacer MORE ACES hasn’t won for over 900 days, but is a competitor and this is a thin race. Leads and kicks. The best of DANNY GEORGE would put him in the finish, while DIABLERIE caught the eye last start and could be the blowout.
Suggested: 7. OCEAN’S FIFTEEN win.
7. OCEAN’S FIFTEEN
4. MORE ACES
2. DANNY GEORGE
Race 9 – 5:15PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (2100 METRES)
BONNEVILLE BLACK looks the one to beat again as he zeroes in on a hat-trick of Belmont wins. Has enjoyed teaming up with apprentice Madi Derrick, racing on-speed and carrying low weights to victory in similar race-types against similar opposition. Expecting Bonneville Black to roll forward and land on-pace again, and he looks set to out-stay them again down on 53kg. GUNNAGO is in a purple-patch of form, but it is still a task for him to carry 59.5kg and win over 2100m. SUGAR CAIN was too strong to ignore in her last-start win, likely leader UNCLE LINO can kick with blinkers on, while DARK MUSKET can never be written off and looks quite well placed down in this grade.
Suggested: 6. BONNEVILLE BLACK win.
6. BONNEVILLE BLACK
13. SUGAR CAIN
10. UNCLE LINO
1. DARK MUSKET
