Race 1 – 12:30PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1800 METRES)
Nice option for WORLD IS YOURS. Narrowly saluted third up at Pinjarra 14/3 and his two efforts since have been full of merit, tracking four-wide the entire last start and going down a head on the line. With a patient ride from Peter Hall, this fellow is capable of sustaining a sweeping forward move and running over the top. VIGNETO is on the quick back up after racing last Saturday. Possible leader and could give them something to catch down on 54kg. UNENDING played up in the gates and was scratched from Ascot 27/3, but previous form stacks up, while improving 3YO JESTER NOIR is a contender.
Suggested: 1. WORLD IS YOURS win.
1. WORLD IS YOURS
4. JESTER NOIR
Race 2 – 1:05PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET MAIDEN (1000 METRES)
Expecting the market to come for first starter WAR SAINT. Has looked the goods in two lead-up trials, settling outside leader in his most recent Lark Hill 1/4 heat and clearing out to win by 3.8 lengths. Has the gate speed to cross from the mid draw and find the rail in front, and will be hard to beat from there. Have been tracking the progress $190,000 yearling YARDMAN and he’s been well educated at trials. Looks to have some quality about him and should make an impact on debut. CAMBIST was $3.80 on debut and competed well. Maps nicely also, while PROTECTED ACTION will have admirers on debut.
Suggested: 3. WAR SAINT win.
3. WAR SAINT
2. PROTECTED ACTION
Race 3 – 1:40PM SEPPELT WINES HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
Hot midweek field this and expecting FRIDAY FILLIES to go close. Showed plenty in previous preps and returned to racing in style, clocking sharp late sectionals to salute comfortably down the Pinjarra Straight 1000. Should get a nice smother from the low draw and, if the gaps appear, she has the closing speed to impact. CITY CIRCLE is flying and dominated a similar assignment to this last start. Looks the obvious horse to beat. BEDOUIN BELLE ran into a smart one in Catherine Wheel last time and has to be one of the major players, while UNIBRO caught the eye fresh and can elevate second up.
Suggested: 5. CITY CIRCLE win.
5. CITY CIRCLE
4. BEDOUIN BELLE
7. WAKAN TANKA

Race 4 – 2:10PM RICHARD BRADLEY BIRTHDAY HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
This looks the race for OLGA LOUISA. Has been performing very well all prep, in better company than this, and appears suited from the low draw with regular rider Jason Whiting back on board. Race fit, in form and with even luck should be hard to beat. First-upper FINALLY FRENCH is the class horse of the race, although his record brings his will to win into question. Did look very sharp in his Lark Hill 1/4 trial win and has the talent to overcome the high draw. HARD OF HEART flopped 1st up, but his best form suggests he can rebound, while likely leader LORD GREYSTOKE can improve 2nd up also.
Suggested: 4. OLGA LOUISA win.
4. OLGA LOUISA
1. FINALLY FRENCH
2. HARD OF HEART
3. LORD GREYSTOKE
Race 5 – 2:40PM DFO PERTH HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Interesting to see UNIKAT transferred to Adam Durrant, and the promising 3YO is expected to take some beating first up for his new stable. Won his first three starts, which is pretty rare, and it was hard not to be impressed with the way he stretched out in his Lark Hill 1/04 trial. Maps to get a suitable run chasing a genuine tempo, and should have the strength to get over the top. SOY TAN RAPIDO ran her rivals ragged this track/distance last time and anticipating similar front-running tactics. GIFTED WARRIOR goes good and will be charging home late first up, as will MR UNDERCOVER.
Suggested: 1. UNIKAT each way.
7. SOY TAN RAPIDO
3. GIFTED WARRIOR
6. MR UNDERCOVER
Race 6 – 3:15PM MAE ROUTLEDGE’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
DIVINE QUEST put it all together with a fast-finishing maiden win this track/distance last start and looks very hard to beat on the strength on that performance. Was ridden cold by Jordan Turner and showed her appreciation by ripping out the fastest last 400m and 200m of the day to whiz past the heavily-commissioned Magic Empire. Has some serious closing speed and just needs clear running. GEOGRAPHE BAY hasn’t done a lot wrong this prep and maps to enjoy a lovely run in transit. Major player. ARTIE’S JEWELS has caught the eye at both runs this prep, while FLIRTY FRIARS can make a splash fresh.
Suggested: 10. DIVINE QUEST win.
10. DIVINE QUEST
1. GEOGRAPHE BAY
6. ARTIE’S JEWELS
8. FLIRTY FRIARS
Race 7 – 3:45PM SHEILA GWYNNE CLASSIC (1400 METRES)
In a race without a designated leader, LADY COSMOLOGY can go straight to the front and control proceedings from there. Did lead throughout to defeat Flirtini and Arcadia Queen this track/distance in the Burgess Queen Stakes last campaign, so she’s got runs on the board, and this top-shelf filly will have benefited immensely from her near-miss first up in the Charleson Classic. MIZLECKI goes super and will be a worthy adversary. The barrier draw has hindered, but she must be respected after her Old Comrade Stakes demolition job. ELECTRIC LIGHT and CELEBRITY DREAM are no slouches either.
Suggested: 4. LADY COSMOLOGY win.
4. LADY COSMOLOGY
3. ELECTRIC LIGHT
1. CELEBRITY DREAM
Race 8 – 4:20PM MONTAGUE PARTNERS – W.A. SIRES’ PRODUCE STAKES (1400 METRES)
Only a neck separated them in the Karrakatta Plate and in a flip-of-the-coin ended up siding with TINSNIP to turn the tables on DIG DEEP in the WA Sire’s Produce. Tinsnip was simply massive last start, racing four-wide with cover throughout and fighting all the way to the line. Maps to get a softer run in transit and with an uninterrupted passage on the turn, should be mighty hard to hold out. Dig Deep is the horse to beat, but a forced riding change and potential traffic issues from gate one are minor queries. Likely leader SPECIALISM warrants consideration, as does progressive type SEMIGEL.
Suggested: 3. TINSNIP win.
4. DIVIDE THE SEA
*Numbers amended after Final Scratchings
Race 9 – 4:50PM KIRIN MEGUMI HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Tricky affair to finish up on Good Friday, but thinking FLYING ROAR can give his supporters a real run for their money. Drifted back to last first up, but was doing his best work late, running the fastest last 200m of the race. No surprise to see him roll forward with apprentice Chloe Azzopardi on board, and he should give this a shake. FRIAR’S FANTASIA looks the horse to beat, but maps rearwards and will need plenty to go right from there. DETANGO ran well first up and maps to enjoy a suitable run. Her best stacks up also, while likely leader NEW TIME and EVERYTHING’S SWEET can both show up fresh.
Suggested: 3. FLYING ROAR win.
3. FLYING ROAR
1. NEW TIME
10. EVERYTHING’S SWEET
