Race 1 – 1:14PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET PLATE (1100 METRES)

In a field stacked with first starters, happy to stick with the race-experienced WAR SAINT on top. Led and saluted comfortably on debut, before boxing on well after getting trapped three-wide no cover in last time. Expecting him to cross and lead, or at least land outside leader, and should take some beating from there. TRAMIKA is drawn outside War Saint and is likely to come across and settle on top of the speed. Latest trial was strong, in a top yard and should go close on debut. BRAVE CONTENDER is a likely improver second up, while BEFFUNJAR maps well and trial form has been solid.

Tips: 1-6-3-7
Suggested: 1. WAR SAINT win.

1. WAR SAINT
6. TRAMIKA
3. BRAVE CONTENDER
7. BEFFUNJAR

Race 2 – 1:49PM AMELIA PARK LAMB HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

Plenty of winning chances in this tricky affair, but anticipating a bold performance from WAR IN PARADISE on debut. A half to 10-time stakes winner Grand Nirvana and hailing from one of WA’s best families, this filly has looked above average at trials and should enjoy a sweet run from the low draw. Pike is on, should make an impact. LIPSTICK FLICKERS is stepping out for a new stable and has some good formlines around Not To Be Mist and Lido Beach. Maps well, goes close. First-upper SHAPITA has her share of ability, while MEGACHINO is race fit, in form and should be doing his best work late.

Tips: 8-6-1-4
Suggested: 8. WAR IN PARADISE each way.

8. WAR IN PARADISE
6. LIPSTICK FLICKERS
1. SHAPITA
4. MEGACHINO

Race 3 – 2:24PM IRON JACK HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

If the sparingly-raced AMELIE ARGOT is on song, she’s the one to beat first up. Shown plenty of talent in previous campaigns, and wasn’t knocked around in her Lark Hill 29/4 trial, working to the line with plenty in the tank. With a clean getaway, should land in a suitable on-pace running position, and will take some getting past. MANKIND is the interesting runner, having his first start for AFL footballer/first-season trainer Hayden Ballantyne. Moved well in lead-up trial win and likely to be drifting back and charging late. Likely leader CHISANO boxes on, as does fellow on-pacer PAGO BAY.

Tips: 1-6-8-5
Suggested: 1. AMELIE ARGOT win.

1. AMELIE ARGOT
6. MANKIND
8. PAGO BAY
5. FAIR JOY

Race 4 – 3:00PM DAVID GRAYS AGLINK MAIDEN (1500 METRES)

Wide-open maiden this and ended up rolling with NEAT ACTION. Hasn’t been far away all prep and was forced a long way back from barrier 13 last start, before running on with strength at the finish. From the low draw, maps to land in a more prominent running position and with even luck should give this a shake. RUN FOR MONEY and BARAMAGIC come through the same race as Neat Action, and both had genuine excuses for not finishing closer to the winner. They simply have to be major players, while SHADOW HUNTER loomed and peaked last time, so that hit-out should see him elevate further.

Tips: 3-11-4-5
Suggested: 3. NEAT ACTION each way.

3. NEAT ACTION
11. RUN FOR MONEY
4. BARAMAGIC
5. SHADOW HUNTER

Race 5 – 3:35PM SEACORP HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Have some time for STOICISM and expecting his class to take him a fair way. Liked his two trials, prior to an encouraging first-up effort in stronger company this track/distance, and that run should bring him forward nicely. With a patent ride from in-form apprentice Brodie Kirby, this fellow certainly has the closing speed to swoop over the top of them late. First-upper MEGADON has always promised a bit and his two lead-up trials have been eye-catching. Harrison stable going well and Pike on is a bonus. LUCKY LINDA LULU is honest, while possible leader BLACK SHADOW should be boxing on.

Tips: 1-3-7-2
Suggested: 1. STOICISM win.

1. STOICISM
3. MEGADON
7. LUCKY LINDA LULU
2. BLACK SHADOW

Race 6 – 4:15PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Peters Investments first-upper STATE ATTORNEY is the horse to beat. Hasn’t been the most reliable over the journey, but his best form stands out well above his opposition, and his Lark Hill 29/4 trial suggests he’s ready to fire fresh. Maps to get the right run and all things being equal, should salute. GESSATO is the major danger after a solid first-up effort behind the in-form To Rise Again. Should get every chance from the suitable low draw. Possible leader GATES OF BABYLON has the blinkers on back in trip, while the Pearce Bros’ TRADE TOWER has to be respected first up, no trial.

Tips: 3-1-5-6
Suggested: 3. STATE ATTORNEY win.

3. STATE ATTORNEY
1. GESSATO
5. GATES OF BABYLON
6. TRADE TOWER

Race 7 – 4:55PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (1800 METRES)

The honest DISCOVILLE looks the most suited in this fairly-open end to the card. Was rails in run this track/distance last time and held up in the straight, but once clear really got going, running one the the faster last 200m splits of the day. With even luck from gate one, should get his chance. UNIVERSAL MAE finished alongside Discoville last time and while she hasn’t won in her last 11 starts, she’s racing too well to be ignored. Maps to advantage also. OUR MATE AL really caught the eye when running on last time, while KENDEL’S MEE DAD is improving with every start and can measure up.

Tips: 4-5-9-7
Suggested: 4. DISCOVILLE win.

4. DISCOVILLE
5. UNIVERSAL MAE
9. OUR MATE AL
7. KENDEL’S MEE DAD
