Race 1 – 12:49PM D’ORSOGNA MAIDEN (1100 METRES)

Impressed with the Lark Hill 25/3 trial win of SILKINIZE and expecting him to prove very hard to beat on debut. Enjoyed a soft run in transit in that 950-metre heat, but let down with style and went to the line with a bit in reserve. Likely rolls forward from the draw and should get his chance from there. SHOWZALI raced three-wide no cover as a $2.60 fave first up and boxed on well considering. Has the race experience and is an obvious major player. Really liked the 18/3 trial of CAMBIST and the inside alley suits, while likely leader CAPTAIN DENISOV has looked above average at trials.

Tips: 6-9-3-2
Suggested: 6. SILKINIZE win.

6. SILKINIZE
9. CAMBIST
3. CAPTAIN DENISOV
2. GOODBYEFEDS

Race 2 – 1:24PM SEACORP HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Pretty keen on CITY CIRCLE. Simply dominant in her Pinjarra 14/3 maiden win and showed impressive closing speed to place behind smart pair Deacalda and Excise Free over this track/distance last time. Latest sectionals were very strong and with even luck from the draw, she should run over the top. Big watch on first-upper FRIDAY FILLIES, who has shown plenty of potential already. Maps rearwards from the draw, but will be launching late. BEDOUIN BELLE put in a flat run when well fancied last time, but expecting her to rebound, while likely leader MEGACHINO can improve second up.

Tips: 8-6-9-1
Suggested: 8. CITY CIRCLE win.

8. CITY CIRCLE
6. MEGACHINO
9. THE WITCH DOCTOR
1. UNIBRO

Race 3 – 1:59PM HAHN SUPERDRY HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

Tricky handicap with plenty of winning chances, and ended up landing on BURNING MAGIC each way. New trainer Gavin Foster has done well with this mare and after catching the eye in stronger company two back, she put in a big finish at Bunbury 24/3, clocking the second fastest last 200m of the day. Maps to advantage from the low draw and a back-in-form Chris Parnham should be giving her every chance. Pike goes on LANGLEY, who looks suited back in trip from an inside alley. SUSPECTUS maps well also and his best form stacks up, while likely leader MURRAY THE BULLDOG is race fit and in form.

Tips: 9-6-7-3
Suggested: 9. BURNING MAGIC each way.

9. BURNING MAGIC
6. LANGLEY
7. SUSPECTUS
3. MURRAY THE BULLDOG

Race 4 – 2:37PM PIMM’S HANDICAP (2150 METRES)

Hard to look past progressive filly DOC FRIAR. Really liked her Pinjarra 14/3 effort two back and she elevated further in a particularly fast 2019m Bunbury maiden last time, gunning down the well-regarded Too Close The Sun after a sweet William Pike ride. Expecting further improvement and she ticks the most boxes. WE’LL MEET AGAIN looks suited from barrier one and traffic issues proved costly when unlucky last week. Looks ready to peak. EYE ART was strong late in her maiden win and is bred to relish the 2150m, while the in-form OUR GIRL MARLI maps rearwards, but will be swooping late.

Tips: 7-9-3-8
Suggested: 7. DOC FRIAR win.

7. DOC FRIAR
9. WE’LL MEET AGAIN
3. EYE ART
8. OUR GIRL MARLI

Race 5 – 3:15PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Always had an opinion of TIME TO TRADE and his sharp Lark Hill 25/3 trial win suggests he’s ready to fire first up. Jumped straight to the front and strode clear to win by just under 3.5 lengths in that 950m heat, cruising to the line under a good hold in decent time. Maps outside leader and should give them something to catch from there. MY LAINA comes back to midweek company and her recent Saturday-grade results have been solid. With blinkers on and a patient ride, she should rattle late. As should backmarkers SUPPOSITION and FIRE MAKER, who both have the closing speed to figure prominently.

Tips: 7-9-5-2
Suggested: 7. TIME TO TRADE win.

7. TIME TO TRADE
9. MY LAINA
5. SUPPOSITION
2. FIRE MAKER

Race 6 – 3:53PM DAVID GRAYS AGLINK HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

First-upper INFLATION stands out as the horse to beat. Stretched WA Derby contender Platoon on debut, before leading throughout in a very fast Northam maiden win last October. Looked the goods in his Belmont 18/3 trial win, when stretching out stylishly, and expecting him to settle forward and control proceedings from there. HARD OF HEART is having his first run for Lindsey Smith and while his 25/3 trial was only fair, this fellow has the class to make things interesting. DAISHIO is back from a freshen and looks suited in this event, while on-pacer PATRISTIC can go close again backing up.

Tips: 3-1-5-4
Suggested: 3. INFLATION win.

3. INFLATION
1. HARD OF HEART
5. DAISHIO
4. PATRISTIC

Race 7 – 4:30PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Tough handicap to get a handle on, but kept coming back to EVERYMILE A MEMORY. Felt the first-up effort (when a big drifter) was okay and she matched strides with some quality types in her mid-prep Lark Hill 25/3 trial. Blinkers go on at first run for new ownership and with Pike on from the low draw, she looks the one. SUPERIOR SMILE hasn’t been far away all campaign and he should get a suitable run in transit. Comes through a decent Bunbury 24/3 event and has won over the mile previously. GEIGER GEM will roll forward and box on, while no surprise to see LENNON’S SONG elevate second up.

Tips: 10-3-2-11
Suggested: 10 EVERYMILE A MEMORY each way.

10. EVERYMILE A MEMORY
3. SUPERIOR SMILE
2. GEIGER GEM
11. LENNON’S SONG

Race 8 – 5:10PM MAGIC MILLIONS HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Very difficult handicap to finish and almost all of the original 14 acceptors are capable of winning. Going to lock in ALTA SULL’AMORE on top, backing up after catching the eye in an especially high-rating race at Ascot on Saturday. After a run of high draws, this barrier suits and he should be within striking distance on straightening. NSW import ROCKAFELLA has caught the eye in two lead-up trials and with a better draw, would’ve been the on-top selection. Likely favourite BEL MY PAGO has ability and ticks plenty of boxes, while SIGIL trialled super at Belmont 18/3 but a high draw hinders.

Tips: 6-3-7-1
Suggested: 6. ALTA SULL’AMORE each way.

6. ALTA SULL’AMORE
7. BEL MY PAGO
1. SIGIL
9. LADY LE JEAN
