Race 1 – 12:04PM AMELIA PARK MAIDEN (1500 METRES)
TRISUEM looks ready to break through. Met with strong support fourth up at Pinjarra 14/01 and after spotting the leading pair a decent head-start, she turned on the jets to make things very interesting late. Chris Parnham sticks and the blinkers go on, so Trisuem does look to have a bit in her favour. Shades have also gone to OCEANZARA, who’ll no doubt be very well fancied again after being beaten fair and square when a $2.80 fave last start. Expecting positive tactics from the high draw also. SPRINGSURE LAD shouldn’t be a maiden for too much longer and maps ideally from this low draw, while thinking Paul Harvey is a positive booking for ICARIAN.
Suggested: 11. TRISUEM win.
3. SPRINGSURE LAD
Race 2 – 12:44PM CROWN PERTH PLATE (1000 METRES)
Locking in debutante BUSTER’S FORCE to knock off unbeaten filly SNIPAROOCHY. A $130,000 yearling purchase, Buster’s Force hasn’t been sighted since a Lark Hill trial win last October, but the performance oozed class and selecting this race as a starting point suggests David Harrison is on a Magic Millions path with him. With a clean beginning Joe Azzopardi should give him every chance on top of the speed. Sniparoochy has to be the horse to beat, but is 1200m back to 1000m and could be a touch vulnerable. $210,000 yearling MICHELADA has winning trial form, William Pike and a low draw, so she’ll come under the microscope, while TOPPA THE MOUNTAIN backs up after winning last Saturday and has to be a contender again.
Suggested: 4. BUSTER’S FORCE win.

Race 3 – 1:24PM DEVIL’S LAIR PLATE (1000 METRES)
Good clash coming up between speedsters ISEERED ISEERED and MADAM TORIO, and confident Iseered Iseered has what it takes to get the win. Was the plunge horse of the 2020 Kalgoorlie Round and showed he was ready to rock-and-roll in the New Year with a scorching Lark Hill 11/01 trial win. Appears gifted and it’ll be interesting to see if Mitchell Pateman tried to hold up in front or will be content to follow the leader. Madam Torio is a little weapon and has been kept fresh since a dominant Ascot 1000m display last month. Climbing to 59kg now, but if she finds the rail in front good luck catching her. GEMMA’S SON is one of WA’s best 3YOs and his class will take him a long way first up, while anticipating sharp improvement from STARFIELD IMPACT on the seven-day backup.
Suggested: 4. ISEERED ISEERED win.

8. ISLAND CHARM

Race 4 – 2:04PM TABTOUCH WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP (1100 METRES)
Pretty keen on the chances of UNIVERSAL PLEASURE. Chased hard behind Wilchino first up and followed that up by blitzing her maiden rivals at Bunbury 3/01, justifying her $1.55 quote. Looks set to enjoy the run of the race, stalking the leaders from gate two, and has a nice weight advantage over her main rivals down on 52.5kg. SIR MAMBO is a Westspeed Platinum Handicap specialist and is more than capable of giving this a nudge first up. Flies fresh, carries weight and runs for apprentices. BEDOUIN BELLE finds it hard to score, but there’s no denying she’s holding career-best form, while TINTO BELLE was very stiff not to make it two wins in a row when blocked for a run at Bunbury last start.
Suggested: 10. UNIVERSAL PLEASURE win.

7. TINTO BELLE
Race 5 – 2:43PM IRON JACK HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
COUSIN IVAN is a really nice horse in the making and this looks a sweet second-up assignment for him. Was spelled in the winter after his listed Aquanita Stakes victory, but looks the goods in a Lark Hill 29/12 trial win before a slashing first-up 1400m effort two weeks ago, with his effort not too dissimilar to last Saturday’s heavily-backed winner Last Of The Line. Cousin Ivan has come class about him and with a reasonable tempo, and a trouble free run, William Pike should be steering him to victory. COMFORT ME comes out of the same Ascot 9/01 race as Cousin Ivan and should be peaking now at this stage of his prep. Maps soft from gate one also. Hard to fault the 2020/21 form of WILD FUSION and he will take some beating, especially from the sweet draw, while no surprise to see SAUCY JACK roll forward and show some cheek at odds.
Suggested: 1. COUSIN IVAN win.

Race 6 – 3:20PM WESTERN RACEPIX HANDICAP (1800 METRES)
There’s a host of genuine chances that appear quite evenly matched, but happy to be on board with SOWAR. Has been a costly horse to follow in seven starts since his last win, but his two Great Southern performances to kick off his current campaign have been too big to ignore. Ready to produce his best third up over the 1800m and the slide to 57kg brings him right into contention. MY FAIR BALENTINE has always had talent but is finally starting to put it all together. Her last-start Pinjarra win was blistering. QUEEN TAKES KING went into everyone’s black book first up and will now attract even more attention with Pike booked to ride, while OUR IDYLL has to rate highly, and PAMBELLA was really good last start and may fly under the radar.
Suggested: 4. SOWAR win.
2. MY FAIR BALENTINE
1. OUR IDYLL

Race 7 – 4:00PM AUSTRALIA DAY TROPHY (1500 METRES)
Chris Parnham looks set to make amends aboard SON OF A GOD. Having lifted him to a spirited first-up win, the outstanding hoop was forced to plot a path three/four wide no cover the entire in the Easingwold Stakes a fortnight ago, with Son Of A God having the audacity to box on into third. Shouldn’t encounter those issues from this draw though, and it does look his race to lose with the map and weights in his favour. Great to see former outstanding juvenile DIG DEEP back in winning form and the way he’s competing, he’s going to be mighty hard to beat again. Anticipating sharp improvement from ABDICATOR second up, likely leader LORENTINIO is on top of his game and has to be considered a threat, while LUKE’S GOLD continues to race out of his skin.
Suggested: 5. SON OF A GOD win.

3. DIG DEEP
7. LUKE’S GOLD
Race 8 – 4:40PM MORLEY GROWERS MARKET HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
They’ll have to get through TOMMY BLUE to win this. Had some brilliant form references as a 3YO and bounced back from a first-up failure to record a strong fresh win at Pinjarra 1/01, sitting outside leader with 59.5kg and drawing clear late convincingly. Outside leader is on the cards again and if “The Wizard” Pike gets her there without burning too much fuel, Tommy Blue should prove too classy. Really taken with the last-start efforts of both MICKEY BLUE EYES and REGAL POYSE. The imported Mickey Blue Eyes was massive at his WA debut in a similar race to this two weeks back, while Stewards queried the ride on Regal Poyse last start after basically everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. And the likes of GRAND DESIGN and INFLATION are more than capable of making an impact on their best form.
Suggested: 2. TOMMY BLUE win.
2. TOMMY BLUE
9. MICKEY BLUE EYES
14. REGAL POYSE
8. GRAND DESIGN
Race 9 – 5:20PM ASCEND SALES TROPHIES HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
Found it hard to look past WE’VE GOT DREAMS first up. One of the fastest horses in WA confirmed she was ready to fire fresh by clearing out to record a 4.6L Lark Hill 11/01 trial win. Apprentice Madi Derrick just needs to ride her for speed and We’ve Got Dreams should do the rest. LEICA JAGUAR continues to thrive and is on the quick backup after just failing to gun down Time To Sizzle with 59.5kg last week. Drops to 55kg, drawn well and holding peak form. CAPTAIN KINK goes good and expecting him to make his presence felt first up, PLUTOCRACY is clearly better than what he showed first up when unplaced as a $4.20 chance, and NIGHT VOYAGE has to be in the mix after his Ascot 1000m victory three weeks ago.
Suggested: 1. WE’VE GOT DREAMS win.
1. WE’VE GOT DREAMS
11. LEICA JAGUAR
7. CAPTAIN KINK
5. NIGHT VOYAGE
