Race 1 – 2:24PM THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS AWARDS PLATE (1200 METRES)
Some gifted 3YOs clashing and expecting LEVITATE to come out on top. Was a powerful winner over the trip two back and a good-thing beaten over 1000m two weeks ago. No doubt suited back up to the six furlongs and Pike climbing on board enhances his winning chances also. SILKINIZE has plenty of class about him and found a way to win after racing outside leader at Bunbury last time. Superior horse with a smother and lookout for him launching late. BOOMTASTIC should’ve finished closer in the Placid Ark Stakes, and that form stacks up, while DOWNFORCE maps nicely and appears ready for 1200m now.
Suggested: 6. LEVITATE win.
Race 2 – 3:03PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1800 METRES)
Happy to forget ROYAL COMMAND went around last start and expecting to see him rebound quickly with regular rider William Pike in the saddle. Produced a big finish two salute second up and was afforded no favours when three wide/no cover in a fast Ascot 1800m event last time. Thrives on Pike’s cool riding style and Royal Command is a real talent when on top of his game. Hard to fault the recent results from PRINCE TURBO and he’s a major chance to make it four straight wins. HARRY THOMAS is holding career-best form, and he and stablemate ARCTIC STREAM are both major players in this.
Suggested: 1. ROYAL COMMAND win.

5. PRINCE TURBO
2. HARRY THOMAS
4. ARCTIC STREAM
Race 3 – 3:39PM D’ORSOGNA HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
On pure ability ESSENTIAL SPICE should be too good for these first up. This exciting sprinting mare made a statement last campaign with three straight 1000m wins, some of the more impressive performances of the Belmont 2019 season. Not knocked around in her lead-up trial and with even luck for apprentice Chris Graham, Essential Spice gets it done. PLUTOCRACY is a genuine threat though, after having no luck at all first up. Pike on and low draw are both big ticks. UNDISCLOSED is absolutely flying this prep and has to be respected, while no surprise to see HOBOKEN elevate significantly third up.
Suggested: 2. ESSENTIAL SPICE win.
2. ESSENTIAL SPICE
Race 4 – 4:14PM SEACORP HANDICAP (1500 METRES)
Hard to look beyond rising star NOT TO BE MIST. Has always appeared above average, but his effort to score on Winterbottom Stakes Day against all odds, was one of the best performances of the three-day Masters Series. Drops 4kg following that mighty win and he looks set to make it three straight. REBEL KNIGHT will have admirers though, having been a moral beaten second up two weeks back. Is up sharply in trip, but has a strong Ascot 1500m profile and looks the biggest danger. SUPERIOR SMILE has been strong so far this prep and should go close again, while MAJINIKA warrants consideration.
Suggested: 3. NOT TO BE MIST win.
3. NOT TO BE MIST
8. REBEL KNIGHT
6. SUPERIOR SMILE
Race 5 – 4:50PM CLUBS WA HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
Tricky race this, but eventually opted for FRIAR’S FANTASIA. Has been a bit of a tease over the journey, however, her form this prep has been rock-solid and it was hard not to be encouraged by her Westspeed Series Final effort two weeks back. Looks ready to win and is well positioned to do so here. Possible leader SOPHIE’S SONG has been a model of consistency this prep and all the form around her stands up. BARAMAGIC could be the blowout though, having his share of ability and coming off a brave Northam effort last start, while Geraldton visitor BIG SHOT PADDY is a real up-and-comer.
Suggested: 6. FRIAR’S FANTASIA win.
6. FRIAR’S FANTASIA
3. SOPHIE’S SONG
1. BIG SHOT PADDY
Race 6 – 5:25PM ENERGY WEST SOCIAL CLUB HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Taking a leap of faith with INSPIRATIONAL GIRL first up. Is an unbeaten Peters Investments 4YO, so has obvious talent, but there’ll be plenty willing to lay her after knocking off questionable opposition and two fair lead-up trial efforts. Got a feeling she’ll step up to the mark on raceday though and happy to have her on top. Seasoned campaigners GEIGER GEM and DICKOLETTO have race-fitness on their side, and both will roll forward to land on top of the speed. They’re major players. Anticipating a lift from fellow on-pacer BLACK SHADOW second up, while GILLESPIE never saw daylight last start.
Suggested: 12. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL win.
12. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL
4. GEIGER GEM
7. BLACK SHADOW
Race 7 – 5:55PM G.A. TOWTON CUP (2200 METRES)
TAXAGANO is tough as old boots and expecting him to out-muscle his opposition in this Perth Cup lead-up event. Dug deep to claim the Ascot Gold Cup two back and really should’ve won the Tatt’s Cup last time, when getting pocketed by the winner at the wrong time and attacking the line with strength late. With clear galloping room, he’s going to be mighty hard to counter. Likely leader SPIRITUAL WARRIOR should be closing in on a peak performance and must rate highly. Jury is out on the staying credentials of FORCEFUL, but don’t rule him out just yet, while FRIAR FOX is weighted to win.
Suggested: 1. TAXAGANO win.
3. SPIRITUAL WARRIOR
7. FRIAR FOX
Race 8 – 6:25PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
FLOWER OF WAR has class written all over her and is going to be mighty hard to beat first up. Enjoyed an excellent 3YO season, producing high-rating performances against some quality opposition, and she’s been sharpened up for this with two lead-up trials. Has the ability to run time, so with positive tactics from the high draw, she’ll be hard to match. SETTLERS CREEK looks just about ready to fire third up and does really run for Chloe Azzopardi. Can win. SUPREME FORCE is starting to fulfill his promise, MORE ACES can find the front and box on, while big watch on comeback galloper STAR VALUE.
Suggested: 8. FLOWER OF WAR win.

2. SETTLERS CREEK
10. SUPREME FORCE
7. MORE ACES
3. STAR VALUE
