The WA Racing industry is rallying behind one of its most loved participants, with a Go Fund Me campaign started for Robbie Dewar.
A long time writer for the Sunday Times, Dewar has been a Harness Industry stalwart, with a career spanning over 30 years including race calling and radio announcing.
In 2017 he was announced as the inaugural winner of the Racing and Wagering WA Service to Industry Award.
In recent years however, Dewar has been battling with Parkinson’s Disease, which has now progressed to the point that requires him to be cared for in a nursing home.
Long time friend Barry Hamilton has organised a Go Fund Me campaign to help support Robbie’s wife Wendy and their daughter Bec, to help care for Robbie.
