Champion WA jockey William Pike will renew acquaintances with promising WA horse Disposition when he renews his Eastern States campaign in Saturday’s Group III Victoria Handicap (1400m) at Caulfield.
Transferred to Wez Hunter in January, the talented Bob Peters owned three-year-0ld was on track for a shot at the Australian Guineas following a close second to Wandjina in the Group III CS Hayes Stakes, before a minor injury curtailed his campaign.
“He is a hundred percent, couldn’t be happier with him,” Wez Hunter reported.
“We’ll give him a good gallop on the course proper here tomorrow and that will top him off.”
Pike rode to Disposition to three victories in Perth including the Listed Fairetha Stakes.
“William (Pike) will be across to ride and he knows the horse better than anybody,” Hunter said.
