Pike suspended for eight meetings

Western Australia’s premier rider, William Pike, has escaped any great penalty after deferring an eight-meeting suspension incurred at Flemington on Saturday.

Pike was outed for causing interference to Muntahaa aboard fourth-placed So Si Bon but has benefitted from being outed in Victoria.

As there are two night meetings each week at this time of year in Victoria, Pike has been able to defer his penalty to next Saturday night (March 16) and will still be able to ride at the following Saturday’s meeting (March 23).
