Thank you for your support in our quest to be the “go to” racing news site for Western Australian racing.
Our visitor numbers have surpassed our initial expectations. We are also pleasantly surprised by the national and international interest in what we are doing.

OzRace Poll Result
Our poll on whether the TAB should be sold has closed, showing an overwhelming support (84.5%) that the TAB should not be sold.

Racing returns to winter headquarters tomorrow. The first meeting back can throw up some interesting results, so punters will need to careful.

WA’s star sprinting mare Magnifisio will be out to show her real class tomorrow when she runs in the $400,000 Group 1 William Hill Classic at Morphetville. Drawn ideally in barrier 4 and her regular rider Jason Brown on board – all is set for a super run.
Delicacy
The WA Derby and Oaks winner Delicacy will be out to add another Group success to her record tomorrow when she tackles the $400,000 Group 1 Schweppes Oaks tomorrow at Morphettville.
Delicacy goes into the tomorrow’s race hoping to make it five wins in a row.
Bippo No Bungus
The Neville Parnham trained Dubawi mare Bippo No Bungus will tackle the $175,000 Group 2 Queen of the South Stakes tomorrow at Morphettville. This mare is knocking on the door to win a race like this one after a last start fourth beaten 1.55 lengths in the Group 3 Anniversary Vase to Amorino at Caulfield.
Barakey’s Return
Barakey returns to racing Sunday when he steps out in the Listed $125,000 Northam Stakes at Northam.
A brilliant winner of 13 of 16 starts, Barakey has been working very strongly leading into Sunday’s race.
TABtouch fixed odds has him as favourite (win $1.85 place $1.01).
Pop Culture
Former WA mare Pop Culture will open her Victorian campaign tomorrow at Caulfield in race 9, a bench mark 90 handicap race over 1600 metres.
This will be her last campaign before heading to the breeding barn.
New trainer Rob Blacker has reported that she has trialled well and is keen in her work. “Her workload and environment is varied and interesting. The cooler climate, increased moisture in her working surfaces, plus swimming has decreased the concussion load on her legs.”
Mr Utopia
Former WA galloper Mr Utopia has been nominated for the $150,000 Wangoom Handicap at Warnambool next Wednesday. The former Steve Wolfe trained galloper was super impressive winning at his first Victorian start for new trainer Robert Smerdon.
