    New Cadet for Danehill Express

The winning trial form of Danehill Express filly Miss Clooney added plenty of value to her half-brother at the Adelaide Magic Millions yearling sale on Monday.

Cadet Lodge trainer Greg Eurell prepares Miss Clooney and she won a Cranbourne 800m trial for two year-olds by more than a length from Cullemmy’s Diamond last week.  The runner-up had been fourth on debut in the LR Debutant Stakes at Caulfield.

Miss Clooney (2f Danehill Express – Hey Rosie by Archway) is raced by Southside Lodge manager Graham McTaggart and will face the starter for the first time in the next couple of weeks.  Her dam was a versatile money-spinner for Eurell winning 6 races from 1100m to 2100m including the Tauto Hcp at Flemington.

“Hey Rosie was a lovely mare for us and this filly goes well, too” stable administrator Sarah Berry said.  “She’s not very big – neither was ‘Rosie’ – but she’s got plenty of toe and will keep improving into next season.”

Hey Rosie’s yearling by Al Maher made $110,000 at the Adelaide Magic Millions on Monday night.  He was second on the leader-board after being purchased by Philip Stokes.

Danehill Express sired a winning double with Bangkok Express and Properantes at Ascot last week and he has promising filly Divine Bay returning from a spell at the Bunbury Cup meeting this Thursday.

Divine Bay (3f Danehill Express – Lip Service by Marooned) scored a front-running victory on debut at Northam in November and was an easy trial winner at Lark Hill last Tuesday.  She is trained by Darren McAuliffe for Geisel Park owner-breeder Eddie Rigg and is a younger sister to stablemate Express Service who has earned over $430,000.

Danehill Express stands at Mungrup Stud and he has climbed into third place on the Sunspeed sires’ premiership with 39 winners of 56 races and over $1.28 million in prizemoney.
