Apprentice Jake Casey has won the third race of the day, with an intelligent ride from the box-seat aboard Detection. After jumping well, race favourite Silver Magic Ships presented to lead and Jake Casey elected to hand up to the challenger and sit on her back, despite being in a pocket.
As they turned for home, it was apparent Silver Magic Ships was under sufferance to kick away, giving Casey a dream rails run to defeat The Danskter.
Trainer by Kristy Casey, Detection apparently struggled to handle the wet conditions last start, turning a 4.3 length defeat on Coruscation a fortnight ago.
The Danskter was brilliant again, racing outside of Silver Magic Ships and kicking away, only defeated near the line, with Coruscation good again, running into third.
Favourite Silver Magic Ships and Bjorn To Love were well beaten, hardly coming into proceedings.
