Comments: This year’s Narrogin Cup 1900m features a handy line up of 10 runners, but the market is likely to reflect a race in two with RAM JAM for Darren McAuliffe coming out of gate 2 with Willy Pike in the saddle, and COUGAR EXPRESS piloted by Shaun Meeres for Lindsay Smith to commence right next door in barrier 3. Both produced excellent lead up runs last start coming into this feature, but I’m leaning towards the latter here who beat the classy Highly Secret at Ascot in its most recent outing. NINGALOO BLITZ is a likely leader for Dan Morton and will appreciate the tight Narrogin track, while PHAROMAC for Stephen Rowe will be hoping for a clearer run in transit and certainly has claims. In other races, it is hard to go past FEINT DANCER in the seventh who got within a length of the classy Lunar Eclipse before blowing away a maiden field at York alst start, while I’m throwing out the costly (still) maiden POTENTE in the second. The Eric Wake trained Magnus 4yo showed promise earlier in its career, but will need to improve a few lengths here if it’s to be any realistic hope – is more than capable on its day.
Multi: Wins and places: FEINT DANCER ($4.60) into COUGAR EXPRESS ($4.60) into SEA OF CHOICE ($5.00) = $105.80 (Doubles a must)
