Wagga R7#7 NIGHTS ON FIRE resumes in this but is seemingly a 3yo filly going places. She won fresh last preparation and defeated a decent horse called Ainzali. Ainzali won two races thereafter, before a respectable effort beaten 5.5L in a very strong (3yo) form race at Canterbury behind Music Magnate. This filly also has from around the very quick Highly Geared, and boom Canberra 3yo Fell Swoop who has put 3 big margin wins together in a row. I also like the fact she is yet to taste defeat in 3 runs beyond 1000m, which makes today’s distance of 1200m seem ideal. At around an early quote of $4.50 she seems to be a very decent investment.
Hot favourite TIGER EYES is in my Blackbook and is a short priced early favourite, but her last run was poor, and she comes back in distance. She absolutely blitzed a Maiden field by over 10L in fast time, and then did just enough to win 2 subsequent races. At her best she is very good, and can win, but her form has tapered off and it’s possible she needs a spell.
CT Horses below;
No idea how ATTAINMENT is going to go up 300m in distance off a 5.5L defeat at 1000m. It’s not promising given a failure at 1400m prior and the price is too short to be taking given the negatives.
GREY NINJA is a chance but his second up form isn’t overly encouraging and he has a horror barrier to contend with.
TIGER EYES- See above.
