RACE 1 TABTOUCH HANDICAP 12:14 PM (2200M)
MASTER MAGICIAN flopped big time at Ascot on May 5 before a sharp form reversal saw him prove too strong for AT THE READY in a sit-and-sprint affair only seven days later. Has been troubled by feet issues during this interrupted prep, which explains the bar shoes and inconsistent form, however, his best is obviously very good and his versatility allows him to perform well regardless of tempo. At The Ready is the hardest to beat and will no doubt attract plenty of support. DUDEMANBRO is capable of upsetting the fancied duo, while likely leader CORPORATE LARRIKIN is next best.
Suggested: 2. AT THE READY win.
2. AT THE READY
3. CORPORATE LARRIKIN
5. READY TO FIRE

RACE 2 MUMM CHAMPAGNE PLATE 12:53 PM (1000M)
Simon A. Miller added blinkers to MARKET RULER last start and she entered beast mode, racing outside leader and blowing her rivals away late with some brilliant closing speed. This doesn’t appear to be as strong as what she’s encountered recently and all things being equal, she really should be winning again. First-upper ALCINA is a very fast front-runner who looked nice and sharp when winning a 400-metre Belmont 14/05 trial. Showed plenty last prep also. First-starter ESSENTIAL SPICE has looked very green at trials but oozes raw ability, while first-upper PENTHES PRIDE can run well fresh.
Suggested: 2. MARKET RULER win.
2. MARKET RULER
11. ESSENTIAL SPICE
5. PENTHES PRIDE
RACE 3 IRON JACK HANDICAP 1:31 PM (1600M)
Interesting race and ended up locking in ANCIENT HOPE on an each-way basis. Have been impressed with the way she’s attacked the line when recording back-to-back wins to start her campaign, and she looks more than capable of making the transition to this grade. Should relish the mile, and has the closing speed to get back and run over the top late. ALPHA SKY is very smart and stands out as the horse to beat. Riding change is an obvious query though. ACONITE was heavily supported last start, but was brought undone is a very slowly run affair, while GIFTED WARRIOR has some rock-solid formlines.
Suggested: 8. ANCIENT HOPE each way.
8. ANCIENT HOPE
1. ALPHA SKY
2. GIFTED WARRIOR
RACE 4 ASCEND SALES TROPHIES HANDICAP 2:10 PM (1600M)
Could be a huge day for William Pike and the ‘Cerise And White’, with GALAXY STAR looking set to continue enhance her rapidly-growing reputation. Simply massive in defeat first up and made amends with a dominant display last Saturday. Picking off these races on her way to the big time and it’s hard seeing anything laying a glove on her. Exciting MIZLECKI is going around for the first time in 35 days after back-to-back listed race wins, running some big figures in the process. Brodie Kirby gets another chance on PINZU after having no luck last start, while PUSHIN’ SHAPES was stiff last start.
Suggested: 7. GALAXY STAR win.
7. GALAXY STAR
4. PUSHIN’ SHAPES
RACE 5 PENINSULA DINING ROOM BELMONT PARK – BOOK NOW 2:48 PM (1300M)
ARCADIA PRINCE met with an avalanche of support first up and while he couldn’t quite get over the top of Sir Snugalot late, the race was very fast and will have provided him with the perfect platform for this assignment, back against his own age. Gate 1 does provide the opposition with an opportunity, but if the runs do come then Arcadia Prince should be too classy late. REYKJAVIK should be ready to peak third up and ran into a particularly fast midweek contest last start. ARRUM BOY is another class runner working his way into form, while first-upper PADDY’S SHADOW goes good and can figure.
Suggested: 3. ARCADIA PRINCE 1 x 3 units.
3. ARCADIA PRINCE
1. ARRUM BOY
7. PADDY’S SHADOW
RACE 6 GLENROY CHAFF HANDICAP 3:25 PM (1000M)
Looking forward to the clash between exciting 3YOs STAGEMAN and SOPHIA’S SECRET, and ended up opting for Stageman with race fitness and distance on his side. And he lost no admirers when beaten for the first time by exceptional filly Fabergino first up, with the third-placed Alpha Sky going on to win impressively since. Sophia’s Secret was regarded as one of the best fillies in her division last prep, but has been troubled by barrier issues. Should go close, but has to load first. Fellow first-upper HARD OF HEART has more than his share of ability, while SPEEDING COMET is in career-best form.
Suggested: 5. STAGEMAN win
8. SOPHIA’S SECRET
6. HARD OF HEART
11. ROUTE EIGHTY EIGHT

RACE 7 SKYRACING.TV-PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES FINAL 4:00 PM (1400M)
Plenty of talent on display at the opening of the Belmont season and VITAL SILVER is another potential top-liner working his way through the grades. Bloused on the line when $2.60 into $2 first up at Pinjarra, but expecting that searching hit out to bring him forward significantly for this assignment. Does appear a class above these and he stands out as the one to beat. GRADUAL INCLINE really attacked the line last start and should’ve finished much closer to smart winner Kokopu. Fast-finishing former Queenslander ROCK MYLADY will need luck, while SIXPENCE SPENT is always thereabouts.
Suggested: 2. VITAL SILVER 1 x 3 units.
2. VITAL SILVER
3. GRADUAL INCLINE
8. ROCK MYLADY
1. SIXPENCE SPENT
RACE 8 VALE ALAN CROLL HANDICAP 4:35 PM (1200M)
William Pike and the Cerise And White combination have saved their best for last with the unbeaten ENTICING STAR set to notch up a fifth straight win. Has clocked some remarkable closing sectional times at both starts this prep and it’s clear that this 4YO is something special. Ticks all the boxes, only bad luck stands in her way. KOKOPU has made a big impression with two wins since arriving in WA. High draw means he’ll be getting a long way back though. First-upper PRECIOUS MEMORIES has top-end talent but is coming back from injury, while RIVER DANCE goes really good but has barrier issues.
Suggested: 12. ENTICING STAR win.
12. ENTICING STAR
8. PRECIOUS MEMORIES
2. RIVER DANCE
