Race 1 – 11:24AM SEPPELT “THE DRIVES” HANDICAP (2200 METRES)

BLACK ATTACK looks set to make it two on the trot. Handled the second-up rise to 2000m at Bunbury 21/10, notching up a soft win as a $1.55 fave, and she looks capable of elevating further with that run under her belt. Pike stays on board and she should be too good for these. MAJORA’S MASK improved as expected third up and he should compete well on the quick back up. Maps to enjoy a soft lead for the in-form Tayla Stone. SNITZATUNE is better than what he’s been producing this prep and improvement wouldn’t surprise, while DRINK THE RAINBOW has the miles in her legs and hails from the right camp.

Tips: 4-2-5-3
Suggested: 4. BLACK ATTACK win.

4. BLACK ATTACK
2. MAJORA’S MASK
5. SNITZATUNE
3. DRINK THE RAINBOW

Race 2 – 12:45PM SALINGER MAIDEN (1200 METRES)

Nice option for FAIREDU. Began well and landed in front first up at Bunbury 21/10, but after leading till the 100m mark she couldn’t match smart type The Fugazi late. Fred Dag has emerged from that race to win since, so the form has held up, and Fairedu should land on top of the speed and give a kick late. The blinkers go on MAGICAL CHARGE at her first appearance since running into the emerging Final Hearing on debut. Maps in front or leader’s back. POVERTY POINT is a half-sister to Railway Stakes winner Elite Belle and wasn’t knocked around at trials, while OVER THERE will be strong late.

Tips: 7-9-8-1
Suggested: 7. FAIREDU WIN.

7. FAIREDU
9. MAGICAL CHARGE
8. OVER THERE
1. POND ZERO

Race 3 – 1:29PM FIFTH LEG HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

Anticipating a sharp first-up performance from TYCOON LEGEND. Arguably a good thing beat when resuming over this Track/Distance when resuming last prep and went on to place at Graduation Handicap level behind the brilliant Enticing Star. Does drift back and run on, so the inside alley may be a headache, but with a full wind up he can make his presence felt late. Have a bit of time for first-upper SONG OF VINCENT and his two lead-up trials have been solid. Has some class about him. Pike goes on APOLLO and a top-four finish beckons, while LADY LATTE trialled well and should be running on fresh.

Tips: 3-2-1-7
Suggested: 3. TYCOON LEGEND win.

3. TYCOON LEGEND
2. SONG OF VINCENT
1. APOLLO
7. ALTA SULL’AMORE

Race 4 – 2:08PM DEVILS LAIR HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

SA import M’LADY looks the one to beat. Made a good impression when leading throughout and posting a strong figure to win first-up in WA at Belmont 10/10, but got the staggers late as a $2.50 fave in this grade last time. This doesn’t look as strong and what she’s been facing though and does appear suited coming back to 1000m with the tongue tie back on. Distance specialist CHINETTI is loving life in this grade and is relishing being ridden for speed. Should lead again and show some cheek. No surprise to see MAGNIFLYING fire fresh for a new stable, while MY LAINA can figure on her best form.

Tips: 6-1-7-8
Suggested: 6. M’LADY win.

6. M’LADY
1. CHINETTI
7. MAGNIFLYING
8. MY LAINA

Race 5 – 2:48PM DAVID GRAYS AGLINK HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Pretty keen on the chances of MISS FROST. Clocked very fast closing splits when a first-up Kalgoorlie 3/10 winner, before bringing that finishing speed to town last time when unleashing late and narrowly missing the fast Driftstar. Really taken with the way she attacked the line, is suited up over 1200m and looks a nice type in the making. POINT TAKEN was held up at crucial stages first up and did well to close late. Maps to advantage. DON’S LEGACY ran the fastest last 200m time of the day second up, while on-pacer INFLATION is coming off a high-rating maiden win at Northam.

Tips: 7-9-1-3
Suggested: 7. MISS FROST win.

7. MISS FROST
9. POINT TAKEN
1. DON’S LEGACY
3. INFLATION

Race 6 – 3:28PM TABTOUCH – BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Natural front-runner COCKNEY CREW will give them something to chase. Was coming off a 29-day break when scrambling home at Bunbury 21/10, but he can elevate further stepping back up to the mile with the additional race fitness. Previous True Defender and Pagan Image form reads well and he can win again. MEKONG DEN overcame some traffic issues on the turn to record a deserved maiden win last time. Her closing splits stacked up very well on the day. KING LOUIE should be peaking third up and is suited with a senior rider back on, while expecting improvement from UPWARD OTHERS third up.

Tips: 8-9-1-10
Suggested: 8. COCKNEY CREW each way.

8. COCKNEY CREW
9. MEKONG DEN
1. KING LOUIE
10. PERCEPTIVE MISS

Race 7 – 4:05PM MUMM CHAMPAGNE HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

Have a bit of time for THE FUGAZI and this is a good test. Was coming off an 88-day break when circling the field and letting down strongly to record a soft Bunbury 21/10 win, and gives the impression he’ll be suited up over 1400m. With another patient ride he should be attacking the line with strength again. MR UNDERCOVER was a moral beaten in a similar event last time, but maps to enjoy a more favourable passage on this occasion. VIC import TRUMP THIS impressed at trials and it’s hard to combat Team Williams/Pike combo, while first-upper MOET DE VEGA has his share of ability.

Tips: 8-3-6-2
Suggested: 8. THE FUGAZI win.

8. THE FUGAZI
3. MR UNDERCOVER
6. TRUMP THIS
2. MOET DE VEGA

Race 8 – 4:45PM TABTOUCH-BURGESS QUEEN STAKES (1400 METRES)

Can’t go past ARCADIA QUEEN. Firmed into $5 favourite for the WA Guineas after a class win against older and more seasoned opposition last Saturday, bull-dozing her way into clear galloping room and exploding late with the sixth fastest last 200m of the day. This filly looks one out of the box and expecting her to be simply too good. LADY COSMOLOGY was enormous in an intense Belgravia Stakes, absorbing extreme pressure and bravely boxing on late. NGAWI had no luck from a high draw in the same race and must be included in your exotics, while the unbeaten LEADING GIRL faces her biggest test.

Tips: 7-1-3-5
Suggested: 7. ARCADIA QUEEN win.

7. ARCADIA QUEEN
1. LADY COSMOLOGY
3. NGAWI
5. LEADING GIRL

Race 9 – 5:25PM PIMM’S HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

LORD LUDLOW looks a reasonable each-way option to end the day. Was sent out a $81 chance first up over this Track/Distance in Ratings 66+ company and should’ve finished a length or two closer after being held up in traffic in the straight. Looks suited down in class and maps to advantage from the good draw. ROYAL STATUE will have plenty of admirers returning to racing after bleeding from both nostrils last start in February. Wasn’t asked for much in his lead-up trial and looked above average last prep. FLYING ROAR is suited up over 1400m, while AWESOME AS should be close to a peak third up.

Tips: 4-7-2-3
Suggested: 4. LORD LUDLOW each way.

4. LORD LUDLOW
7. ROYAL STATUE
2. FLYING ROAR
5. AWESOME AS
