Trainers: DARREN McAULIFFE and Impressive Racing took out the Scenic Blast Stakes when his Universal Ruler 6yo Rebel King shot clear late from its handy position to claim the $100,000 feature. BRETT POPE enjoyed a city win with Rare Coin following a solid performance in Bunbury, while SEAN CASEY has found the winning formula with Verve De Vega running rivals ragged for the second time in as many weeks.
Jockeys: Race to race double in the saddle for DAN STAECK who piloted Rare Coin to back to back wins when successful in the third, before leading throughout with a well rated ride aboard Cappo D’Oro in the fourth. WILLIAM PIKE picked up a “book ends” double with Vermont Lady finally rewarding connections with a strong victory in the opener, before charging Royal Missile home from well back to take out the last.
